South Oranges premier supper market for choices that are a little different. I love coming here because the choices aren't like your typical grocery store. I always come out with something that's just a little different. Everything always looks so good & fresh.

Ashley is a really great local market, especially if you are walking distance. They have a good selection of fresh vegetables, herbs, fruits, flours from different types of grains, tea, and pasture raised eggs even! There is a surprising amount of inventory in this local market, with some nice items in it! They also stock basic grocery items for those who need/want to be more economical. They seem to aim to offer their customers groceries at a choose-your-own-price-point selection. The eggs are a good example of this. It is a small, independent grocer, so you can't expect them to compete price wise with a supermarket chain. On that note, Ashley is always clean and tidy, and the woody interiors gives it a calmer, nicer feel than your standard supermarket. I love having this store when I am in South Orange.

The store has gone massively downhill.Produce and cheese are poor quality or moldy. Everything is extremely overpriced. The owner glares at shoppers.

We were 23 people for Thanksgiving. I’ve been ordering Ashley’s Thanksgiving catering for over 10 years now and they never disappoint. Food was delicious! Everyone enjoyed and complimented on how good it was.

Overpriced for what it is. Just come for quick things and that’s it. Don’t buy anything else. Paid $3.50 for two tomatoes… $1.37 for one single bell pepper. Wanted to get some chicken, but changed my mind after seeing a fly. Aside from that, the hot bar food is good and so is the selection of veggies/fruits.

Honestly, this market are not cheap , the stuff in this place are not as much as I am expecting. But the location in NJ are much safer than going to downtown Wholefood. But I still want to take a bus to travel to Wholefood next time . Because I found Wholefood are cheaper than this market place and a lot of stuff are way more flash than here. When I try to find a whole fat of yogurt, I can't found it , they are only sale low-fat or zero fat yogurt. And I don't think those processed yogurt are good . And also price are even expensive than wholefood.

Its a more expensive whole foods. It's got great produce and bread but the staff always looks miserable and due to the cost the stores always empty. A bad experience to shop and work apparently, but the fruit is fresh lol

Had to come here, looking for egg roll wraps, and they had them!!!! "S&S" I normally go to, hasn't had them for over a month.This is a good backup spot, from my main shopping store.

Would really love to like this place since it's around the corner from my house, but they keep selling me expired items and the selection gets more abysmal every month

Not sure if it’s new management. I came back home for a little while to visit and asked for a vegetarian sandwich that would be just mozzarella, pesto and tomatoes at the sandwich stand. He said it had to have meat for him to make which sounds completely absurd to me. Very disappointing.

What happened to this place? No baked goods lots of empty space and far fewer items than they used to have! I bought some coffee beans and I hope they're not stale!
