“We've been coming to this farm for years. Not only do they have a wide selection of shrubbery trees and produce, but they also have live animals in the back with the kids can see such as donkeys chickens and rabbits! So this is a great place to bring your kids especially for free. (Currently these are no longer here. Feb 2024)When you come here there is some street parking directly out front, but you can also park in their brick-paved lot to the left of the building. Also by the inside parking, are bricks & pavers that you can purchase.My recommendation if you're going to buy shrubs for privacy here, is to measure the height you want them to be unless you're willing to wait for them to grow to that height, because you can purchase taller ones for a higher price.The next time you want to buy some produce, why not come here and purchase it directly from the farm instead?Between the greenhouses and the barn is a soda machine, however you can also buy some cold drinks like iced tea inside where you make your purchases. in those greenhouses, by the way, is a large selection of flowers and plants you can buy. So feel free to browse them while you're there too!”

The staff here are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about plant care and maintenance. Their expertise has been invaluable to me, especially as someone who loves to look at all the wonderful cacti and succulents they bring in. It's amazing how well these plants thrive under their care!
One of the standout features of this nursery is its extensive selection of seasonal and native flowers, seeds, garden plants, and large leafy plants from different countries. Many of the plants I’ve purchased have thrived for years, and I often find myself returning to buy gifts for friends and family.
The convenience they offer is another reason I keep coming back. You can call ahead to check if they have a specific plant in stock, and they rarely need to put you on hold to find out—they already know! The staff are not only friendly but also most of them are bilingual in Spanish, which is a fantastic plus.
The range of soils available is impressive as well, from seed starters to orchid mixes, cacti soils, and indoor houseplant mixes - all of which are certified organic! They also have an amazing selection of pots, from artistic ones to hanging pots you can definitely find the right one. They offer repotting services upon request as well.
I wholeheartedly recommend supporting this nursery as your local plant dealer. They truly offer a paradise for plant lovers!”

“I’ve gotten a few things from Brookside Garden Center over the years and have always been happy. I recently decided to send some flowers to someone from here after their family member passed. Very last minute, I had to either change or cancel the order due to the recipient being out of town and Brookside was so kind and accommodating. They quickly cancelled and refunded me for the order so I didn’t have the worry about the recipient coming home to dead flowers. “This is my favorite plant shop in manhattan! Their prices are low, they can give care instructions, they can repot your plants, and they also sell pots. Their plants are very healthy. Plants I’ve bought from them years ago are still going strong. You can view their selection online, but keep in mind the prices on their website are higher than the in-store ones, sometimes by over half the price of the plant (the example I’m thinking of was for a 4” pot plant).

We gave Catherine a few reference photos of the style and colors we were interested in and she took it from there. To say we were blown away by the end product is an understatement. The centerpieces she designed were so stunning, we were in awe when we saw them set up in the space. She completely got the style we were going for, and her work added so much life to the space. “Found this place when I was looking for more plants to buy in the summer, when the selection at Home Depot just wasn't up to par. This place is great, so many beautiful plants, and lots of beautiful planters too. The workers are very nice, they leave me alone to browse and enjoy the plants they offer for as long as I need. and I find myself going back again and again for my house plant needs. I also love their seasonal changes, I went for the first time in the fall season this month and their pumpkin and squash collection is amazing. I wish I knew about them last year for my pumpkin decorations!”
