Great store for books AND records. The owner is very nice too. I’ve been three times and found gems every time. Bonus: the coffee shop down the block and the taco place across the street are also worth checking out. Have yourself a great afternoon!

Soldato is an independent bookstore & record store located in Rutherford, New Jersey inspired by Italo Calvino’s short story “The Neapolitan Soldier”. Featuring used and new books, Soldato will intellectually stimulate a downtown lacking in psychological exercise. The books will span the categories of architecture, art, design, mythology, philosophy, poetry, illustrated texts, and more.
