Lisa was so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. She took her time with my son; bringing out so many shoes to try to fit his orthotics. Even though they were closing in 45 minutes, we never felt rushed. We left with 2 pairs of sneakers, and will be back!

This store is a prime reason why I support small businesses. During the height of the pandemic, the owner talked with me about shoes for my kids, and, emailed pictures. She then even dropped them off at my home. Today, my son's sneaker broke, and, we had less than an hour to make an appointment. The store had my kids' previous order in their system, so, they got replacement sneakers ready for me to run in and get. Very customer oriented and I will always bring my children to them for their shoes.

I called this store looking for sneakers for my Boys, almost 3 & just turned 5. When I said their current sizes, I was told my Children are small and what the average size is for each of their ages. I told the woman I did not think of them as “tiny” or “small” …I found this peculiar and inappropriate.I was also told in so many words that I probably have them in the wrong size, which I know is a thing, but I do measure and check based on brand and fit. The entire reason I was calling was because they need new/bigger sneakers as they have grown. It was just an odd experience overall being this person never saw my Boys and this was the first and last time I will interact with this store/owner. I gave two stars because despite sounding like she was in a rush, she did take a couple minutes to answer some of my questions… none of which were about what she thought about the size of my Children. I was pleasant the entire time, but felt inclined to review my experience.Pre-COVID, we have called and been to several shoe stores with our Boys throughout the years, and this experience was definitely unique.

So where do I start?? My friend and I came to this place a few weeks ago to check out the shoes. We saw that they had a great sale so we thought that we would stop by. As we got into the store we were told that we had to stay in the corner due to social distance protocols. Okay, fair enough... after a while my friend and I were looking at the boots to see if they had our size. The lady who was working there was extremely rude and asked if we were just playing around assuming that we were young kids. In fact, we were both 18 years old with hard-working jobs. She assumed that since we were young we did not have the money to afford her shoes. She asked, " Are you girls just playing around or are you actually going to buy these shoe"? Then she said that they were about $175. In fact, my friend and I had the money in our wallet to buy the shoes but unfortunately they did not have them in our size. We left the store disgusted on how this manager treated us due to our age and assumptions that we were just fooling around, not going to pay for her shoes. I think that it is appalling to be treated in this way. I will never return back to the store due to this type of treatment. I am not one to leave bad feedback but I think that this experience led me to have to write this review.

Visited the Bootery today with my granddaughter to purchase new sneakers and was treated rudely by the owner. She didn't have socks on so I purchased some socks. Then from a distance she said my those feet have been around their very dirty. Mind you before we went I had just given her a little pedicure....her feet were not dirty. She offered no assistance with trying on the sneakers and checking to make sure the fit was right for her but had no problem taking my money. Will not be visiting that store again.

Lovely children's shoe store in downtown Ridgewood. The kiddos needed some keen shoes for summer so we popped in here. The service was great, they measured and sized both kids quickly and brought out the available shoes in their sizes. They also have a second location in Closter & offered to pick up a pair from there for us if they didn't have the style/color we wanted. They're very helpful, kind and courteous. Shop local!

How they were able to help me get my child shoes during covid when I could not get his feet measured or going to a store and none of his shoes fit him was fantastic. Yes they are a little more expensive, but they are a local store. They are not a typical chain. So I am more than happy to support them.

Patient.Patient and patient. If one has children, this is the shoe store for you. And a super wide selection of shoes and boots for kids. Fashion or function, you'll find it here. And you can say this came from Em's grandma and grandpa. And there's a horse to ride as a reward (or distraction). Pump in two quarters and your child (or grandchild) is riding the range on an electric pony with accompanying music. For kids shoes...this is the place.

I took my 2.5 year old neice to be fitted for shoes. I found a great looking pair of boots. The salesman seemed so nice. I trusted he knew what he was doing. She wore the shoes out and we walked to a nearby restaurant. After an hour she complained about her ankles hurting. To my surprise she had deep cuts and i immediately took them off. I noticed how tight the laces were. Not only was i disappointed in the way he evaluated her i coukdnt beleive they would not give me a refund. This man should take better care when fitting toddlers that cant speak for themselves. I learned my lesson and will never fo back and now i know what to look for going forward . I have pics but cant post.
