Horrible service, the man at the desk asked him about rear lights and he didn't even bother to look and he suddenly told me no. He didn't even bother to look on his computer. I don't recommend coming here

When someone runs a business, even auto salvage, the goal is to be polite and courteous. Your business states that it offers parts for vehicles that are both foreign and domestic, just like the very people in the city of Newark and even the state of NJ. (I believe the owners name is Louis pronounced Louie. The encounter that happened was with the owner, this morning.) Unfortunately that is not what this place represents. I realize that not everyday can be a good day, but when someone tries to be nice to you and courteous, the natural reaction of a human is to be nice back. This morning that did not happen. As my husband was trying to get to work, an older gentleman (I use this term loosely), the owner, was in the driveway of this business. My husband, was extending a courtesy to try to let this older gentleman either out of the driveway or to continue inside the driveway of the business. (We do not have a car so my husband was on his bicycle and the owner was in the car that was on the sidewalk). The business appeared to be opening at this time. Again, unfortunately, the older gentleman (the owner) decided that instead of saying thank you with a raised hand gesture or words, he used racial slurs and vulgar language. We live in a country right now, ruled by a leader that has taught us this is ok. This is not ok at all. I am an American, born and raised in NJ. My husband is from another country, but he has been here for almost 20 years. He works very hard to provide for our family. The hurtful language that was used towards him is the kind of thing we will teach our daughter is not ok to say nor accept. Acceptance of all people is the only way to make your business successful. Perhaps the older gentleman's (term used loosely) attitude should reflect what his business offers, domestic and foreign parts. Maybe he was having a bad day, no excuse for the racial slurs or vulgarity used towards another person. I will not repeat what was said because those words were so graphic they should never be said to describe another person, let alone said at all. I'm sure he did not realize that I was on the phone with my husband and heard the encounter in it's whole entirety. I will make sure I do what I can to let everyone know that this establishment does not represent what his business is about nor what this city is about. It is unfortunate and disappointing how a neighborhood business acted right here in Newark. We have such a great city filled with so many ethnicities! It is what makes this city and this state so great. I hope this man, the owner, who believes his actions and words, takes a long hard look in the mirror. What he (the owner) did was uncalled for. The reviews that are here are not the best by any means. Your actions and graphic words today represents the many terrible reviews you already have. You are a sad man. I don't think that you belong here in this city. We have many fine people here and you are not one of them.
