Love living here, we moved in August and we couldn’t be happier about our choice. The location, units, and having Whole Foods in the lobby are excellent factors but it’s the people here who really make this place shine. Jamal, the building manager, is extremely hard working and responsive. The engineering staff, Hakim + Adam are very intelligent, quick to sort out any problems, and very trustworthy. The housekeeping staff is great, there’s an elderly gentleman who’s always diligently cleaning (I’m kicking myself for forgetting his name). The entire security team is outstanding, special shout out to Reggie who always has a kind word to say but truly they’re all fantastic. The head security guard (he’s more frequently toward the Whole Foods end) is very astute, friendly, and does his job extremely well. The parking manager Joseph Navarro is also very helpful and friendly. The building is lucky to have such a great staff because that’s a huge part of what makes living here feel like a safe happy home.

Love living here, we moved in August and we couldn't be happier about our choice. The location, units, and having Whole Foods in the lobby are excellent factors but it's the people here who really make this place shine. The housekeeping staff is great, there's an elderly Hispanic gentleman who's always diligently cleaning (I'm kicking myself for forgetting his name). The entire security team is outstanding, special shout out to Reggie who always has a kind word to say but truly they're all fantastic and the head security guard (he's more frequently toward the Whole Foods end) is very astute and does his job extremely well. There's also a younger guy on security who works a lot and is very diligent about keeping an eye out and helping the residents. The parking manager Joseph Navarro is also very helpful and friendly. The building is lucky to have such a great staff because that's a huge part of what makes living here feel like a safe happy home.

I waited a while to leave this review. I moved in on June 28th. My move-in process was great. I met with the garage manager for my key card for the garage and then I met with the property manager for my keys for the unit. We both walked upstairs and viewed the unit to make sure everything was good for me. I settled in quickly. Everyone in the building is very nice and the amenities are kept clean, truly. I see people cleaning daily. Management has always promptly addressed any issues. I’m on the 8th floor and love my view and apartment.

I want to love this building badly, I really do. However these oddly placed fire alarms in each apartment (which sound like sirens and produce these strong strobe lights for those who may be sensitive to that stuff) go off randomly and way too frequently. Having a 15 month old, along with us, being startled at random times (5am this time) is a nightmare and the worst part of it all is it’s ALWAYS a false alarm. You can obviously see how this could be a hazard in an actual real event. I cannot recommend living here if this continues to be an issue (which it’s been for me the past year living here).

Great neighbors mostly. They’re creating more of a community now with activities so that’s great. Nice view. Parking is terribly expensive though. Also, since it is downtown, you have to deal with certain outside factors that I’d rather not. Good maintenance and staff. Four stars due to the constant fire alarms. Having children constantly awaken due to fire alarms is a pretty scary thing for them.

As a Rutgers student, and a resident of Newark, I must say that I am proud to have such an amazing facility in my home town! I love the Haynes building, there is so much opportunity for young creators such as myself, and it is so peaceful and welcoming.

I absolutely love the Hahne & Co. Building. The residents are progressive minded yet friendly individuals. The apartments are impressively sized and the amenities are wonderful. This building represents Newark's rich and diverse history. The Hahne & Co. Building puts Newark on another level of quality artsy living.
