never can reach office Left countless messages with answering service Mat the accountant takes your money and does not follow through after I recently lost my husband and Irs is keeping my return and just wanted to speak to him about situation If you are looking for agency to follow through I would not use them They do not even have an office staff

I recently switched accountants and Matt has been absolutely awesome with answering any questions I have. I took my taxes to him last year and he was quick and efficient. I have severe trust issues with owning my small business but his actions assure me I have made the right decision by switching to him. He has been super attentive and professional. I highly recommend using him for any of your tax needs.

Worst experience I've ever had with a tax preparer and I never even got the chance to become a client. I did some online research and found mostly positive reviews for SJ Tax Services and "Matt" (whom I've never met) so I decided to reach out... Today is 4/26 and I've called almost every day since since 4/6 with a simple yes or no question and have yet to receive any sort of response. There are several administrative staff available to take messages and even a 3rd party answering service for when they are not, so I can't imagine my messages aren't getting through. Each time I call, I'm promised a prompt call back, or that an email will be sent with "high importance," or that my call will be elevated "to the highest level possible," or something like that, usually with some form of empty apology. Now, I certainly understand how busy this time of year is for tax professionals in the best of times and I'm sure the quarantine and the CARES Act has only served to increase their workload, but twenty days is quite a long period of time for a yes/no question. I'd also like to add the I've worked in sales in one form or another for almost 14 years and rarely speak negatively about a business for any reason. I understand what it's like to be on the other side and always strive to offer the benefit the doubt; with that said, if I ever let an inquiry go unanswered for twenty days I can't imagine a situation where I wouldn't be fired. Finally, I have never before felt the need to write an online review for any business, for any reason...I have also never before been so thoroughly disregarded by any business, in any situation.

I have used SJ Tax services for several years. Matt is efficient, professional, and a nice guy. He answers any of my questions without hesitation and has promptly returned my phone calls/emails. I never feel rushed when I visit. Matt always goes the extra mile to address any issues that may arise and now handles almost all of my immediate families taxes. I highly recommend SJ Tax Service.

Matt is great I have used him for around 5 years now and he always takes care of me. I feel comfortable letting my friends and family know that he's my go to guy and also that they will be taken care of. Look forward utilizing Matt as I financially manage my future income.

STAY AWAY FROM MATT AND SOUTH JERSEY TAX SERVICES. Matt, called me up to about changing an appointment. I asked a few questions regarding his tax service and he mentioned that the way it normally works is that you initially meet for 5 minutes and drop off the documents and he has it prepared overnight. HE WAS RUSHING ME THE WHOLE CONVERSATION. I had some general question some deductions and documentation to bring and this guy became highly unprofessional on the phone and simply hung up on me. As a business professional I find his treatment on the phone highly distasteful and simply RUDE! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM MATT. IF HE CAN BE RUDE ON THE PHONE WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING YOU IMAGINE WHAT HE CAN DO WITH YOUR TAX BUSINESS.
