Seems like the pharmacy/technicians do not communicate with the rest of the staff here. Love the staff but the pharmacy seems to be disorganized

I enjoy supporting this pharmacy for its roots in the montclair community.Despite them not being the most convenient pharmacy to me the store is quaint, cute, and has lots of chocolates.Unfortunately, the unreasonable wait times on the phone for an associate, and their minimalistic approach to providing assistance, make accessing health care not only inconvenient, but difficult. As a physician I am somewhat familiar with navigating medical systems, though have spent multiple hours over many months trying to coordinate straight forward tasks with Grove pharmacy.

Who’s minding the store? It’s total chaos in there now. When Larry owned Grove Pharmacy it ran like a fine oiled machine! Now prescriptions are late being filled, deliveries are very late, no one calls to tell you if there is a problem with your prescription or medication so when you come to pick it up you’re blindsided! Believe it or not Shop Rite pharmacy in WO is 100 times better and I’m going to finally have to transfer my prescriptions there. I just can’t take the mayhem of Grove anymore.

Two owners ago this was THE pharmacy in Montclair, for decades. But under current new management the staff is rude, lies to customers, and can't get it together to fill scripts in a timely and efficient manner. Very sad to see what was once a great community resource go so wrong. We're done with them.

Worst service. Recent changes placed people who have NO customer service skills or common courtesy in wrong positions. They lie as I called while in the store to see how they operate and was very disturbed by what I saw. In short. they do not care! Very sad after 30 years of loyal service to this pharmacy in particular. Michelle was great, suneil was phenomenal. All others may or may not be the problem. Currently looking for another pharmacy sad and disappointed.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I asked if they had any other sizes in a Harry Potter baby outfit as the ones they had on the floor were too small for what I needed, and they told me no.As I was leaving I saw the size I needed in their display case and asked to purchase it. I was told yes but when the cashier went to go open the case a manager (the one who told me they didn’t have other sizes) told her no and that they wouldn’t open the display and don’t sell items from their display. It makes no sense and they quickly lost a customer. So frustrating to see the item you need and not be able to purchase it because the staff is being lazy- especially during the holidays.

Took my lil one here to get her ears pierced after Claire's did a horrible job on my 6month old at the time. I closed one ear because it didn't align with the other only to be told I should have closed both of them up because of the horrible job Claire's did. Needless to say I highly recommend this place for infant and or toddler piercing. Great job guys keep up the good work??????

Forget this pharmacy. They are rude, unhelpful and impossible to get on the phone. I moved from Manhattan and was looking for a new pharmacy, thinking that Grove would be better than the big chains. They are awful! Try Rose Pharmacy in Wayne right at the entrance to Willowbrook Mall area. They could not be nicer! They deliver, they compound, they'll order hard to get medicines. It's an amazing small pharmacy, with service you think you'd get at Grove but won't.

Arrogant staff who didn't seem to know what they were doing. Called them in advance, explaining my needs in detail. They told me to come in, and that they had exactly what I needed. So I went to considerable trouble to go there that very morning, only to be told that they did not actually have the product at all. Politely expressed my disappointment to the counter staff, who simply walked away without a word.

I just ear pierced my 8.5 month old baby. Katya was very professional and she knows what exactly she should do. She ear pierced both of her ears at the same time with her assistant and it took only 3 minutes. This is the easiest way, loved it. Just trust them and bring your babygirl here

Had my 5 yr old daughters ears pierced yesterday with Katya. She was not only the kindest and professional person but also has the most precised accurate eye . Very careful gentle and has the knowledge abt it all. She did pierce a 3 month old baby'a ears right before us and you should have seen how happy the baby and her family was too. She took care of so well we cant stop recommending !

This place was fine, then apparently assumed new management, and the place has gone to heck. Long lines at the counter, can't get anyone on the phone, misplaced RXs, discourteous sales. It's a pity. Now I have to find a new pharmacy.

I hate to publish a bad review of a business, especially one for an independent retailer.We used Grove Pharmacy for years, chosing to support them over large chains. We love their personalized service and sang their praises, until we learned how much they were over charging us for our prescriptions.When they wanted to charge me over $300 for one of my prescriptions, Grove told me that the cost was due to my insurance insisting that a generic not be used. I called my doctor's office to ask if there was a less-expensive alternative and they were shocked at the priceI called a different pharmacy and was told that the charge would be $10 for exactly the same medicine (not the generic form). I then asked about the cost for my other prescriptions. Grove charged me $70+ for a medication that the other pharmacy charge me about $3 for, and so on.I struggled over writing this review, as I try to avoid doing harm to any local business, but ultimately felt it was important to bring this issue to light. I would expect to pay a little more at an independent retailer, but was flabbergasted to learn that Grove Pharmacy marked up my prescriptions 180%.Shame on me for not checking this years ago. Shame on Grove Pharmacy for grossly inflating prices.
