I had the pleasure of visiting the Columbia Bank branch in Midland Park, New Jersey, and I must say that my experience was exceptional. From the moment my wife and I walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome.A few weeks ago, we decided to open a joint account, and the staff at this branch was instrumental in making the process smooth and hassle-free. Mr. Michael Hyatt, in particular, went above and beyond to assist us. What stood out was his unwavering commitment to providing excellent customer service, even though it was almost closing time. In fact, Michael and his team stayed beyond their regular closing hours due to their dedication to helping us open the account. This level of service is truly commendable and indicative of their professionalism.Michael's expertise and knowledge were evident throughout the account-opening process. He patiently addressed all of our questions and concerns, ensuring that we fully understood the terms and benefits of the joint account. It's not every day that you encounter such a helpful and knowledgeable bank staff, and Michael and his team certainly exceeded our expectations.I also appreciated the cleanliness of the bank. The well-maintained interior and clean restrooms added to the overall positive experience. A clean and organized environment always reflects positively on the establishment, and Columbia Bank in Midland Park certainly did not disappoint in this regard.In summary, our experience at Columbia Bank in Midland Park was exceptional. The welcoming and knowledgeable staff, led by Mr. Michael Hyatt, made our visit a memorable one. This is the best bank you can work with anywhere in the area! It is like the difference between dealing with a mom and pop pharmacy that really cares about you versus a large chain pharmacy that could care less. My family has trusted Columbia Bank for the past 40 years. They always go above and beyond to make sure their clients feel valued and are well taken care of. This branch recently transitioned over to Columbia Bank (which is when I started coming to this location) and I have worked with so many incredible employees since and they all truly care to make sure their clients are happy. All of the employees at this branch are friendly and professional and always greet me with a smile and show a willingness to help. Thank you guys so much for truly making this bank so special! Looking forward to the next 40 years!

The only people who are nice here work the drive through. Calling this bank is a total disaster. You will not be helped and will most likely be hung up on. DO NOT USE THIS BANK.

What happened to this terrific branch? It's changed so much from the (not so long ago) days when you would walk in and the staff would look up, greet you, and say: how can I help you? Everyone then was happy and so eager to engage. Now there is a new manager and all new staff (except for one). When I asked who the manager was, she just said, "I am." No professional introduction. So I don't even know her name. When I stated my request, they all looked at each other, as if 'who's gonna take this one?' One clerk was TOLD to help me and when she came to the desk, there was no greeting. I told her what I needed, she just took the papers from my hand. The whole thing was so uncomfortable and lacked basic customer service. I miss Ray and all the great staff that always seemed so happy and so willing to connect with their customers. You would walk in and it felt great. Now, it's just a bad vibe. In the end they could not help me and it is still unclear if they couldn't or wouldn't.

Took 35mins in the drive through to make a deposit. Took 39 minutes to get a bank check. At least they are consistent.

I began using this bank after getting exhausted of big banks insane fees and rules. It's the perfect small town bank. They are extremely courteous and helpful. I'm talking way above and beyond!! Hours are spot on. I never had an issue going there and not being able to conduct business. I would admit, I am slightly nervous now that they sold to another, larger bank after being in the game for way over the 25 years I've worked in town. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things don't change for the worse.

We have loved everything about ASB. People know our names when we walk in to our local branch. The bank's contributions to charity make it unique and are a big part of why we're so pleased and proud to be its customers.

This bank has the worst customer service. I only go here because it's a school account. Would never use them for my personal banking.

This bank has the best customer service anywhere. I have been doing business with them for many years. They are unfailingly pleasant and helpful. Whenever I visit the local branch, they greet me by name. They give one-tenth of their profits to charity. What other bank does this? I highly recommend them.

I've never experienced such rushy customer service in my life. Simply called to find out some account information and couldn't get a word in without being asked another question, almost as if they just wanted to get the call over with and get on with business!
