Individual units are nice enough but not enough to justify the price or price increases. They nickel and dime you for everything - pet fees, water fees, amenity fees, exorbitant fees if you want to reserve the common areas. Management does absolutely nothing for the community and aren’t resident friendly. The door to the pool has been broke for over a year, the hot tub always looks gross, the pool chairs are all breaking, it took them over a year to replace one missing dumbbell in the gym zero upgrades to a sparse workout area, only 2 grills for so many tenants and the one grills ignitor doesn't even work. There was supposed to be a poker room that never happened, the tv room always has tvs out, there was supposed to be a dog grooming room they never got around to. Constant turnover at the front desk (although most have been great). The floors are super cheap and are very difficult to keep clean, the countertops cheap and the sink sprays everywhere when you turn it on. No central air, no garbage disposal, no golf simulator, water filter in the fridge verse on the door. The area in general is nice and quiet but is sparse in cute shops, good lunch spots or anything cultural to do, the dog runs are all overcrowded and disgusting, almost no street parking for guests. The local CVS doesn't do a good job keep shelves full. The local gym Base you can’t even move because of all of the people. The shop right is constantly super crowded. It was good for the price but now they want over $5,700 a month for a 2 bedroom. With parking at over $300, all the random fees, plus gas, electric, TV and internet you can easily cross $75,000 a year just to live here. For that price you’re better off in Manhattan or Brooklyn where there’s a scene.

5/5 stars best building in jersey city by a landslide. After living here a few year ago and now being back for a work relocation I explored my other options and buildings, while you might find a few others $100 cheaper or so what’s not included in those prices or their competitors hidden additional fees is what makes 65 bay stand apart. I made the last minute call to stick with what I already knew to be great service and a quality experience and 65 bay did not disappoint. In fact my entire lease signing process alone solidified that I made the right call to return and call 65 bay home. Brianna L from their leasing team is simply incredible at her job and customer service. I called on a Monday asked a million plus questions and she ensured I had a fully executed lease in place by end of day Tuesday to ensure I could move in the following Monday - all over a holiday weekend none the less! Brianna truly made my experience returning here everything and more and I can’t wait to move in!

Had an amazing experience signing an apartment at 65 Bay Street. Brianna was delightful to work with throughout the entire process. Highly recommend checking out this building.

POTENTIAL RESIDENT BEWARE. I've been living in this building for over a year. They notified residents that they would be doing repairs and that a member of 65 Bay staff would accompany such person. Karolina from Management confirmed that my day for repair would be another day as I would not be home for the original scheduled day. Today, management let an unauthorized person into my apartment and staff did not even accompany such person. And to make matters worse, I have this all on my ring camera, and thank god I checked it because I would not know someone was in my unit and could take my valuables. I am still in the process of confirming I have everything. This is the second time this has happened to me in the time I've lived in this building. There was also a period of time where my door would lock me in/out of my apartment as the door cylinder needed to be replaced -- which is very dangerous because in the event of a fire, I would not be able to leave my apartment. This has also happened to other residents in the building. Management is not responsive to emails when you have a concern and the only time you can get someone to answer is if you show up in person. Karolina let me know that Erin was supposed to email me on this issue and I have not received as much as an apology.

Horrible, horrible windows....heavy drafts/puddles on window ledges due to condensation built up and windows were dirty, therefore nonstop running heat and A/C all year round. They couldn't resolve these issues nor released us from the lease. It's too bad bc everything else was very nice even though rent was pretty high.

As a resident, great place to live! Maintenance is quick to respond to requests, nice gym and clean (just wish users would re-rack weights), amenities, amazing concierge (KB and Destiny are so nice and on top of packages, etc.).
PROS - efficient elevator system, close to several shops/restaurants/etc., clean, organized, beautiful views
CONS - the area is loud with lots of sirens but you tune it out over time, expensive rent (heard many residents speak of rent spikes), street parking is tough for visitors and residents

Don't bother unless you're cool with renting for a year and then having them increase your rent by nearly 40% the next. The developer / management is the epitome of GREEDY. We have been tenants for two years and got an absurd renewal that was $1,000 more per month than our direct upstairs neighbors who received their renewal just weeks before us. $12,000 more per year to live in the same apartment (technically an "inferior" apartment as it's one floor lower)...there is no justification for that. That kind of increase is unconscionable. The leasing office will tell you whatever they have to in order to close the "deal," but renters BEWARE. Furthermore, management and the leasing team are entirely incompetent. They don't return calls or emails. Most of the equipment at the gym has been broken and sits un-repaired. The pool, which they boast as a major amenity, is open for three months out of the year and promptly closes after Labor Day, while all other pools in the area remain open (like Urby). They "sometimes" will sporadically open it on random weekends post Labor Day but there is zero consistency and for the most part it sits unaccessible for residents who pay an amenity fee to use it. Not only does this mean you can't use the pool itself, but you can't use the grills either or even just sit on one of the lounge chairs. On top of all of this, the building NICKELS AND DIMES TENANTS FOR EVERYTHING. You pay your rent and then there is an amenity fee, a sewage fee, a water fee...etc., etc. DO NOT RENT HERE. PS: plans for the second Urby building have been approved and will soon wipe out all of the views of the city...the only thing going for this building at the moment.

I just moved into 65 Bay, so I can only speak to the move-in process so far. That said, it went so well that I hope it's indicative of the rest of my time here! Building management made our move incredibly smooth and took a lot of the stress off our shoulders. Richard and Caroline were very supportive and patient with my (many!) questions. Use of the loading dock and reserving the freight elevator were easy, and the concierge/door persons were incredibly helpful and kind, especially during our furniture deliveries. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and I feel so spoiled by their help!
Our unit on the south facing side of the building is so much more spacious than the virtual tour let on, and the view of the city and Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island simply cannot be beat. The fixtures in the apartment are really nice, and the amenities are impressive as well. I'm very excited to live here!

Have been living over here for couple of years, excellent luxury building to live in. I find it extremely convenient.
Building is well managed, clean and with lots of amenities. Superior service all around, maintenance items quickly acknowledged and resolved. Building staff is great, very attentive and courteous. The residents are very diverse and friendly and easy to get along. Once the staff members get to know you they are very helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to help you.
The building management is very active and involved in day to day operation of the building.
