Came over to see my man CEASAR “the best in the business” and got my trailer brake disc pads changed at an unbelievable rate. I was also happy that I wasn’t made to change all the associated parts as some shops in the area would force me to do.Good Job CEASAR and HEAVY DUTY.??????❤️❤️

Poor customer service. I went to get the roof of my trailer fixed due to a visible hole. They tried to charge me $750 to cover it with $40 tape. It took them an hour to do it. I was there from 10am to 6pm going back and forth with them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!

Recently, I've been trying to get repairs done by more local private owners' shops across the country. In this instance, my brake chamber broke off in NYC on 34th Street.I Google the closest repair shops, and HDTR came up. I spoke with Michael at about 5:30 pm.He wasn't able to send a roadside tech out but assured me that if he could get the truck to him in the morning, he would get on it.His tone and manner gave me confidence that the truck would get repaired in a timely manner, unlike when I roll into the dealerships.1st mistake.Anyway, the next morning, after I loaded, I rolled into the shop. I was met by Mike, who backed me in.He put Ceasar and his team on the Repair. I could tell all the men who worked on the repair were dedicated to fixing the issue. However, too many mechanics worked on what was 1 or 2 man job.I could not understand or communicate with them since they only spoke Spanish. 3rd problem. Now, that would not have been an issue if there was at least one guy on my job I could ask questions of and understand why they weren't doing what seemed wrong to me.As in most cases, when trucks break down, you just need to get it fixed so you can move on to get your load. The short version is this basic job, which took from 12 noon till 5pm.They repaired with used parts and charged new prices. With no warranty either. The labor rate was not displayed or shown on the invoice. No estimate was offered at the offset. If I wasn't so concerned about possibly losing my load, I would not have let them work on my truck.Frankly, I will have to have another shop look at the work to see if the used brake chamber bracket that they had to "weld" yes welds is durable and safe.Bottom line. Yes, they were very nice. But I shouldn't have allowed them to work on my truck. This is why I always pay for mechanical repairs with my Sparks Capital One credit card. I have recourse if issues like this arise. If you have a junker local truck for running around the Tri-state area, that's a place I guess to get repairs done. However, if you roll a long haul coast to coast, a big truck like me , Heavy Duty Truck Repair is mot the place to get repairs done, unfortunately.MrMan-NYCJose WilliamsThe Lyons Gate Group Corp

Sometimes, they are a hit or a complete miss. Just keep a close eye on them and keep your receipts. Price is fair most of the time.
