Rooms are a good size. Service is excellent. Breakfast buffet could be improved. Overall, a good experience.

I had reservations for three rooms, each for a two-night stay. When my friend arrived at the hotel at 1:30 am on December 1st, there was surprisingly no one at the front desk during check-in. Despite numerous hotel stays, it was the first time I encountered such an empty lobby. After a 20-minute wait, a staff member finally appeared at the front desk, displaying an extremely impatient attitude. This experience made me feel distinctly singled out and left me with a very negative impression. During my own room check-in, the front desk staff graciously provided me with two complimentary water bottles. However, when I requested the same for my friend's room, they insisted I purchase two bottles of Fuji water, demonstrating poor service and leaving me with a truly unsatisfactory experience. Regrettably, I won't be considering a return stay in the future.

My company hosted a holiday gathering at this location and the entire staff at the Canopy went above and beyond to support our team. Our team stayed in the beautiful guest rooms and we leveraged a corporate meeting room, which all met our needs perfectly. Additionally, the staff set up cornhole and shuffle board for us to enjoy during our cocktail hour, and helped organize a fun and engaging mixology session at the bar. Would definitely recommend this location for any corporate or personal event. Shout out to Bridnette, David and their entire teams!

Chris is such a wonderful asset to this property. He was pleasant from the start during check in, and even offered local restaurant recommendations based on his knowledge of the area. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy throughout our stay. His level of service rivals that of a 5-star property, and was much appreciated!

The Queen deluxe room is very spacious. The front office is very friendly. Love the ambience. This hotel his very near to many shops, restaurants and train station. They are able to accommodate early check in or late check in often(provided the room is available). On of my trips they even provided a table fan on my request. Really need to mention about the quality of the bath accessories. All their products are high qualify and if you like them you can buy it at the front office.Rooms: Rooms are really spaciousWalkability: easy walk to restaurants and train stations

No-frills hotel at a great location with super-easy access to Manhattan. Everything was clean, the king room generously sized, and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was not very special (though decent) so I would suggest exploring alternatives.

The room and hotel staff were very pleasant. The breakfast buffet had good options. But would caution Everton about using the valet services. We got to hotel exhausted from long drive and decided to give car in valet instead of self parking. The night we reached I requested access to car and was told to wait for valet. After close to 30 minutes of waiting and multiple calls I was told to walk to the parking lot and find the manager to get access to my car. The following day I called well in advance of checkout to request the car but when we got downstairs to lobby the car was still not there. After waiting another 15 minutes I decided to walk to garage to get the car and get the key which surprising took another 10-15 minutes to get because of under staffing. The valet service and the additional charge should not be offered to customers if the hotel is unable to keep up with the volume. I regret picking this option instead of self park as this would have saved me quite a bit of time and money.

Our stay at the Jersey City Canopy was great in many regards, but I’m noticing that the 4 star “luxury” Hilton’s lack many amenities that the 3 stars have.- PROS -- Wonderful fixtures within the rooms. The shower was beautiful and high quality. The bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in and the rooms were very aesthetically pleasing.- Full offering of hygiene products- Impeccably clean- Friendly front desk service- Modern flat screen with Netflix- A desk + chair in the room, along with a futon- within walking distance to the subway and the town center- plenty of space for clothing- Refrigerator in room ****- CONS -- There’s a fridge…but no microwave- The above is intentional so you can purchase food at their VERY expensive restaurant- No free breakfast, which is a staple at just about all 2 and 3 star Hiltons- Annoying dual-elevator system. There’s an elevator to enter + exit the hotel and then another to access the roomsWe would definitely stay here again, and my partner and I both agreed that this was the nicest (fixture and furniture) hotels we’ve stayed in. It was a beautiful suite and the fridge was a nice surprise. However, it did fall short in a few areas. Overall, I do still recommend this Hilton location.Rooms: High quality fixtures and furniture. Beautifully designed.Walkability: Within walking distance to the Jersey City town square and a subway station.

We had a mostly pleasant stay here for a wedding. The rooms were very nice, new, spacious, and clean. The decor throughout the hotel is very modern and tasteful. I loved that you could dim the lights in the room amount various presets. It is also in a great location if you want to hangout in Jersey City, take the PATH into Manhattan or Hoboken, or take the ferry. The hotel restaurant featured a decent menu and interesting cocktails and everything we ordered looked and tasted very good. However, there always seemed to be something off every time we went. The first night, we went for dinner and the food took a little bit longer than we expected (~45 minutes) based on us being the only people at the restaurant. The next morning, we went for breakfast and the flatbread that my wife ordered came without two of the ingredients (chili oil and one other one that I can’t remember) which made it kind of plain. When we asked for chili oil, the waitress seemed confused and offered us Tabasco. That day they added a tip to the bill even though they didn’t do that for either of the other times we went. The last time we went, we ordered cocktails, which were very good and well-made, but the bartender serving us took the time to take care of random other tasks (bringing in the cushions from outside, wiping down the countertop, etc.) before making our cocktails. Later, she offered to bring us water, but never did. It was a weird experience, especially since she was very nice to us the entire time. On our last day, we tried to get breakfast at the restaurant but they weren’t serving a-la-carte breakfast because Labor Day was the day before and it sounded like they ran out of ingredients. This restaurant has all the prerequisites to be exceptional but instead kind of falls flat due to lack of consistency and organization. The only negative interaction we had at the hotel (or with any staff members, for that matter) was on our last night there. We tried to talk to the front desk attendant about helping us split our room charge up between different payment methods and she got very aggravated immediately. Didn’t even try to hide it. Another customer came up while I was talking to her about her key not working and she was rude to her as well. Based on how unprovoked of a reaction it was, I would guess that she had something going on in her personal life and management should check in on her to make things are ok. She was working the front desk at around 10:45PM on Tuesday, September 5th. We also wished that at check-in, the diamond status benefits had been explained to us and that there had been an evaluation for a room upgrade. Other than the weirdness from the restaurant and this one negative interaction, everything else was pleasant. Kenny, who helped us split payment methods at 4:30 in the morning, was exceptionally nice.

Clean and modern rooms. The bar staff and front desk are very courteous. Location is literally less than a 50 yards from the path on Grove street opening. Parking is off site across the street and is a separate charge.

The rooms are very nice. But the food was bad, and we got sick once from a poke bowl. The outdoor patio of the bar was closed one night because it rained earlier on that day, but everything was dry?! And also we got charged more than $28/day for self parking (as listed in the website) and they said they couldn't do anything about it.

The room was spacious with a really modern style. It is a recent hotel ? I think, 2020. Ecerythind was perfect for us as we were like not even 1 minute walk from the PATH train Grove station. From there, we were able to go either to midtown in 7 minutes and World Trade Center in like 3 minutes. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel. The breakfast in the hotel à la carte was ok and the buffet good, but a bit pricey we feel same in the hotel area in Jersey city.

I’m not one to write reviews of hotels but the interaction I just had with Antonio was nothing short of unbelievable.I called the front desk and exclaimed the filtered water machine didn’t work on the 10th floor.Instead of offering to bring bottled water upstairs to the room I was told to go to the 9th floor or come to the lobby to get it.When I went down to the first floor to get water I was told in a very condescending and rude tone that maintenance had checked and the water was working fine so I must not know how to use it properly…I explained that it would be hard for me not to know how to use an automatic water dispenser because the directions are pretty clear. He then proceeds to raise his voice at me during our conversation and YELLS at me multiple times to go back to my room. This was the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced from a hotel in my life. This is also not a cheap hotel by any means and one would expect to at least be treated with respect and not yelled at or made to feel stupid for using an automatic water dispenser incorrectly. Truly a ridiculous situation and I’ll be speaking to the hotel manager at length tomorrow.
