Our first time using Hillsborough Transmission and we had an outstanding experience. My son's transmission was worked on by another shop who made a complete mess of it. So we had the car towed here expecting the worst. But they had the car fixed up and back on the road for significantly less than we expected. The only delay was waiting on parts from Mazda. Glad to have a go-to place now for any future issues. Thanks!

I’ve been taking all of our cars to Gary at Hillsborough Transmission for a decade, and he has shown time after time that he is trustworthy, honest, and does quality work. I come from a family who worked on their own vehicles. My vehicles only had my hands on them for 40 years. I did everything from replacing engines/transmissions, to general maintenance and everything in between, so the basic knowledge and experience was there. When I moved into a townhouse development, I wasn’t permitted to work on my vehicle to any significant extent, so I tried Gary. Asked him a bunch of questions. The more questions I asked, the more detailed they became. He not only answered all the questions correctly.. but based on my knowledge and experience, I knew he was telling me the truth! His employees are the reflection of the owner. There may be a little wait for an appointment, but the good ones have a full schedule. It’s also a reflection of the person Gary is. He’ll honestly tell you everything straight up, and will let you decide what you want to do, and when. He doesn’t push services. He tells you what you need, and what can wait. 5 stars aren’t enough. I won’t take my stuff to anyone else. Thank you Gary for all you do!
