Great pharmacy! They always have what I need. Much needed change from the big box stores. They also have free delivery and since I have two small children it's hard getting anywhere. Any time my doc calls in a maintenance prescription it shows up on my doorstep the next day. Day of prescriptions are super fast too and the pharmacist are always willing to help with OTC suggestions.Very nice front end staff too!

Absolutely HORRID customer service, and that’s coming from someone who works at a medical office whose had the pleasure of dealing with the pharmacy and pharmacists. 100% will never recommend this pharmacy to any of our clients who need scripts filled elsewhere.

I've been going here for about 15 years and love the personal attention and service that you don't get at the bigger chains.

This pharmacy is great. Some people are ridiculous and expect their pharmacist to violate laws and just give them medicine without a prescription, but these guys obey the law. They are a small mom-and-pop pharmacy that knows its clients by name, not some huge conglomerate like Walgreens that views you only as a number.

Places like that have pharmacists usually fresh out of pharm school with zero experience and are therefore severely underpaid and overworked. Sometimes, the pharmacist will just suggest a product that has little to no effect just to get you off of their backs because they are completely slammed with work. Poets isn't like that at all. Small, local businesses like this need your help if they are to survive.

On January 18th 2015 I brought my brother to Poets Square Pharmacy in Freehold NJ to get him something to help with asthma that was exacerbated by the exceptionally rainy & humid day. My brother spoke with the Pharmacist and told him he did not have his inhaler with him and asked what he could purchase since his was accidentally left at work. The pharmacist insists nothing can be done for my brother who was having an asthma attack and that he should see a doctor to get a new prescription. My brother asks what over the counter options he had since he had gotten something a few years ago when he was in the same situation. The pharmacist says he can't help him. I take my brother to Walgreen's down the street and my brother explains he left his inhaler at work and did not have one on him. The pharmacist from Walgreens offers my brother the option of a bronchodilator that contains ephedrine that would help him breath. It was kept behind the counter, and not being in the habit of manufacturing Meth, he had no problem giving his ID to acquire the pills. The Walgreens pharmacist behaved like a human being and assisted my brother when he had a genuine need that was causing him distress. Is it appropriate and acceptable that the pharmacist would give bad information when he obviously knew there was a way to alleviate my brother's symptoms? Is a pharmacist supposed to be this ignorant and rude as to allow someone to be in pain when there is a solution he very well knew about? As soon as my prescriptions are up I will no longer be frequenting Poets Square Pharmacy and I believe his behavior warrants this negative review. This isn't the first time the Pharmacist in Poet's has been rude. I'd steer clear of this establishment.
