I have been bringing my dogs to Dog's Choice for over two decades! There is no one better than Renee. You can tell that she absolutely loves dogs, and she is wonderful with my schnauzers. They always come out smelling amazing, happy, beautifully groomed, and well cared for. I honestly don't trust ANYONE with my dogs, except for Renee!

Owner is friendly and does an excellent job. The salon is very clean and well kept. Price is affordable too when compared to the larger chain stores. Definitely going to be a repeat customer.

Dog's Choice Salon killed my dog. I had my female schnauzer groomed there and she came home with her skin red. The next day she developed a rash of bumps and I rushed her to my vet. My vet gave her steroids, antibiotics, and water under her skin. She had a blood test done but the results were not clear so the steroids were not sent home with me, only the antibiotics. My dog seemed better and I took her home. By the next day she did not want to eat or drink. I rushed her to Garden State emergency pet care since it was the weekend. She was put on IV at $800 a night. I was told that she needed tests to diagnose the reason for her rash. I opened a care credit card in order to afford the tests. I put her on pain meds as by the next day she was getting worse since no meds were given to her. I was told that more tests needed to be done and that the results would come in a week. I could not afford a week of emergency care and asked what meds would she be put on if a diagnosis would be found. I was told that steroids would help her. So I requested that she be put on steroids immediately without the tests. Her diagnosis was an allergic skin reaction to the shampoo used at Dog's Choice Salon in Forked River, NJ. In tears, I had to sadly put my sweet dog to rest from all her pain. She would have continued suffering from this event and I had to stop her from living in pain. I never asked for any money from Dog's Choice but I did tell her about what happened. The only thing I received from Dog's Choice was a post card in the mail stating she was sorry for my loss. I was left with a bill over $2,500 to pay over a course of 6 months. I posted my sweet dog's pics on Facebook as she was the sweetest loving dog I ever had. She will forever be missed. She was 8 years old and full of love.
