“My daughter has been going to one river for over a year now and she loves it. The teachers are great and talented. A place with a very good atmosphere and selection of courses !”
“Can you believe that this flamingo is made out of bronze and painted? It looked like glass to me. Four artists had displayed their artwork at the Agora Gallery located at West 25th Street in the heart of the Chelsea art galleries. Entitled “A Chromatic Affair” the paintings and sculptures were exhibited in a spacious gallery. Joanna at the reception desk explained the show and artists to me. While I looked at the rest of the artworks, I kept gravitating towards the flamingos as their colors were in vibrant cerise and rose pinks.”
“I recently had the pleasure of working with Galleria on Third and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. The staff was incredibly attentive and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. Their expertise really shone through as they guided me through the various options, ensuring I found the perfect frame.
The quality of the framing is outstanding; every detail was handled with care and precision. It’s clear that they take pride in their work. Additionally, the customer service was top-notch. I highly recommend them for anyone in need of framing!”
“An amazing array of silverware from various countries and eras. Definitely worth a visit in person (as I did when I was recently in New York) or via their eBay store. Anthony has a wealth of knowledge after many years in the industry.”
“I came in this morning needing a way to hang my large print.John at Jack's Art Gallery was so kind. He took a look and installed some brackets immediately to the back of my print free of charge. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL. I cannot recommend them enough!!”
“David and Richard run a great gallery! The work they show is of the highest quality and they are not afraid to take a chance on a potentially great emerging artist while showcasing more acclaimed artists. They are two of the hardest working people in the business who work tirelessly and ethically to get great work into the world and keep artists doing what they do best: creating.”
“Fahim is simply the best! I'm so happy he's still in the neighborhood after the building he was in sold last year. Just a few blocks up on 1st and 89th! Reasonable prices and great work! Thanks so much Fahim!”
“I stumbled upon this cute place while exploring the city. I had never heard of a zine before but was in awe when I walked in. It’s easy to forget about time and get lost in all the zines and books. The staff is really kind and passionate about the arts. Savannah really took her time to show me what Zines are all about. I was really inspired by her. I can’t wait to come back in the fall when I’m in the city.”

18 W 86th St, New York“Not the most expansive gallery space but they pack a lot of great stuff in there! If the exhibits are at all in your sphere of interest (IE, design and creation of objects) it is a great additional stop along with the NYHS or the MNH! Not for kids though, certainly!”
“I recently got a large & non-standard size painting framed here. I had doubts on the frame color and I was suggested a black w/ brushed gold trim. The painting was put on a new stretcher, and we discussed a bit how it would be done. The results were impressive, the painting now seems to pop a bit more and complements our living room quite well. I did notice that they the edge of the canvas that was left unpainted by the artist was painted black. For me, and for this was a super nice touch b/c it doesn't leave the white canvas exposed on the side.”
“Don’t hesitate to get your pictures framed here. Wonderful business and very warm and friendly owner. Incredibly reasonable prices! I had another quote that was wildly expensive and so glad a friend recommended Amsterdam Gallery. They also deliver your framed artwork. I can’t wait to receive it in a week!”
“I've never had anything framed before but Mike was great help! I went around the various framing places in the neighborhood prior to my visit here and just the difference in the questions he asked was immediate; he helped me pick for what would suit my art the best vs whatever was the most expensive!”
“There are ALWAYS great exhibitions and activities going on at The Heath Gallery. Come and meet the Gallery curators Thomas and Saundra Heath who are usually always onsite.”
“Rehs is an elite Gallery. Their knowledge and expertise are second to none and they are quite easily have the most dynamic selection of contemporary and classical paintings found anywhere. Great service to top it all off. Highly recommended.”

1374 Lexington Ave, New York“I am so glad I trusted Carnegie Hill with framing this massive vintage poster. It’s a very delicate piece of art that required a customized frame. Besides being very fairly priced, the owner of the store took the time to curate a selection of framing design options and helped me decide which suited my piece best, taking into account my furniture, sunlight, and personal taste. At no point did I feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. The turnaround time was super fast — I had my poster hanging in my apartment within 10 days of dropping it off. 10/10 recommend.”
“Very nice shop with some very talented artist! Took my sister there for a small tattoo and it came out super nice, thanks to Pawel! Go follow them on Instagram @UnderSkinArt to check out their work.”

“World famous art gallery. The Anselm Kiefer exhibition was perfect for the space on 24th Street. I also enjoyed the show on Y.Z. Kami and a beautiful show of 1990s paintings by Helen Frankenthaler (1928-2011) right next door at 541 West 24th Street.”
“I had no idea it was so small... expected at least an hour experience but was more like 10-15 minutes. That being said, it was really cool. Honestly my fault for not doing enough research. But just know it's like 3-4 small rooms only.”

112 W 44th St, New York“Bought a show prop at the Broadway Flea Market and wanted it safely framed rather than risk damaging it while I schlepped around New York the rest of the day, so I took it over here. They did a beautiful job at a reasonable price, and had it ready for me before I left the city. There was a large selection of frames, too. Bravo!”

“This bookstore found me. And every since then it’s been calling me back. I walked in and was met with the smell of the alphabet and maps from every country in the world. I was allowed to peruse the first floor without being pressured and that felt good because walking in can be intimidating.Everyone there was helpful and I was directed to the second floor by means of a turn of the century elevator. Maps on this floor were organized smartly and you must ask for assistance before taking them off the shelf.I would encourage you to check out their website so you have an idea of what you are looking for before arriving. They also have volumes online that may not be in store at the current time but they have access to from their warehouse.”

676 9th Ave, New York“Candido and his team run a local family operated business providing customers with fair prices, museum quality work, and reasonable timelines.Finding a spot that cares for your art, provides honest feedback through the framing process, and is communicative about timelines is essential. I remember initially calling 3-5 framing locations in Manhattan before finding JMC framing. With his 34 years of expertise in the framing industry, Candido has earned my trust to frame and mount 10 art pieces that I’ve gathered across my travels. He is well versed in art preservation, mounting, and design. Moreover, he will answer any questions you have around his framing process. He can be reached over the phone and will work with you 1:1 to ensure your art gets the time and quality frame it deserves.High praise for this man’s dedication and ability to create memories that will last a lifetime. As a bonus he offers customers paying with Cash an incentive!Would recommend to anyone looking to preserve their art for an affordable and quality frame.”
“Eight floors, of which usually three dedicated to performances. A place that speaks for itself but we try to do it too.
That is, if you appreciate contemporary art you absolutely must take a tour and immerse yourself in the works.
A few meters away there is also a branch of the Pace Gallery.
Without fear I accepted the idea of a beginning and an end.”

“This show, of Earth and Heaven had some amazing pieces of privately owned 12 to 16 century artifacts and art that you would only expect to see in a museum. It was very cool because you can get really close to the art since most of it was not behind glass and see the intricate details.”
“Adam is a rare and exquisite find. His preparation, knowledge, and forthright delivery of advice is to be treasured. I realize that he is a very highly respected buyer but our conversations were beyond all of my expectations. His advice is dynamic and persevering. I deeply appreciate the help I received from this amazing individual.”
“Beautiful, original furniture. I have been coming regularly just to look since it opened, around 2006? It's a one-off and has grown to become an important center for furniture design - great designers like Piet Hein Eek (Dutch) first showed their work here. You can subscribe to their website but coming in and seeing, trying the furniture is a different thing altogether. And friendly staff considering I am just a pair of eyes!”
“The absolute best design gallery in New York. Dobrinka spent a lot of time showing us pieces in the gallery. You can tell she's very passionate about both 20th century design and the contemporary artists she shows.”
“Manuel has framed three items for us and each time he has done an excellent job. He has good ideas and has been helpful in getting the right frames and colors for our pieces. And, his prices are comparatively reasonable.”
