This store is an absolute disgrace when it comes to food safety! I avoid it like the plague, yet 3 out of the 4 recent times I've caved and shopped there, at least one item was spoiled due to their negligent storage practices. When I bothered to complain, seeking some semblance of accountability, the manager's pathetic response was to question why I'd even escalated the issue to him, as if his job isn't to address such glaring failures. This just screams of a complete lack of care from the top down. What a joke of management!2/26/24 Update - I attempted to contact management using the link that was included in the response from them and not surprisingly the link doesn't work. I'm not even going to waste my time calling as I am sure it will be exactly that, a waste of my time.

The self checkout lines are 20 items or less and there were only 3 cashiers on registers. The lines were 6 deep. The line I got on (behind 3 people) soon had 2 ladies behind me. The cashier informed the lady in front of me that he was closed and to tell me she was the last person. I told him I had already been waiting on line 10 minutes and there were 2 people behind me. He said he would take me but I should tell the ladies after me to "go somewhere else". I told him that I would not tell them that. I wish I could say that I was surprised by the situation. It gets worse there everytime I go. You need to open more registers. This is ridiculous.

Good place to shop, a bit crowed on Sundays due to the week sales. Staff and cashiers are friendly and helpful. Also, very patience with rude entitled whom should curve their personalities. Anyway, the managers have a great team!!

I've been disappointed ever since the owners stopped discounting some of the prepped meals prior to them expiring. He used to be able to buy the sushi at half price late in the evening.

they alway sell old and expired meat in the deli section first couple of times I let it go but now I decided they should be made aware so when asked to speak with a manager I was told there are none available so now I will be contacting the health department because this is unacceptable. *Photo posted* I wish you could smell how disgusting this was. (Pickup order and was only in the fridge one day and yes my fridge works fine.)

I bought 4 yogurts on January 3, 24And the yogurts were expired since December 21, 23 ? and when I went to return them, the customer service person was very rude. The name of this cashier is KENYA and not an apology or anything. He said she didn't have to apologize but if she's in customer service, that's what she's there for. Oh, but since I'm Hispanic, it wouldn't be someone else because they even want to kiss their feet. I think inspection has to go check the dairy products in this store.

This store is small, filthy & poorly managed. The board of health should shut it down!!!! Every time I’ve sought help with finding prices or products there is no one to help. During my last and final visit this week, I personally witnessed the store manager and a dept manager yelling and arguing with employees and customers. There are much better & cleaner grocery store options to choose

I do like Shop Rite.. but some of their customer service managers need to learn how to speak to customers. also don't place gift cards at each register and then say they must be paid for unspoken unpublished policy. makes you look bad. bad service

The self check out is so understaffed and there is one person a small old lady with short brownish red hair that is completely rude. She took out her frustration on the job on the customers and was highly disrespectful. People should learn manners before taking a customer service job

New self checkout rules are for 20 items or less. There are usually 2 to 3 cashiers open and the lines are long. Most customers have 30 items or less. So we’re stuck on the cashier line. Self checkout have employees hover over you and this is intimidating to use the self checkout.

There was a gentleman in the store with his emotional support dog, the dog was very well behaved and a little girl was afraid of the dog who by the way was not bothering anyone. The store manager on shift began screaming at the gentleman that he had to leave the store and he was going to have him arrested for trespassing. All this happened after the gentleman and his family walked all through the store and finished their shopping and were now at the register. The staff is rude and seems to take pleasure in escalating non confrontational situations to create confrontation. The gentleman was very calm and did leave the store upon the mangers threats. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and unbecoming of a member of management. There was a completely different avenue this manager could have gone down in order resolve to situation peacefully and service both customers. I will never shop there again personally.

I give this ShopRite one star and wish I could erase it. I went today as I usually do when I work from home but this time I used self checkout. The sensor kept saying something was in bagging area so I moved my bags to the ground and just kept adjusting. This rude Latina lady ( Carmen) came up to me and said “ Where do you think you’re going?” I said what do you think I’m trying to steal , I work just like you. Then she says I’m doing my job rudely! No you are not doing your job asking me where I’m going because I move bags to ground! I am not leaving the store I’m trying to pay and go back home to log in work. She has a nasty disposition and even when she had to come back to me to clear something in machine no gestures or words. She made me feel like a criminal and I’m far from it. I called and reported her. She was even yelling at the rest of the line before I left about something telling them not to hover. No one was hovering. Bottom line is if you go here avoid this lady her name is Carmen and she is angry and bitter. When I called to report her the lady immediately knew who I was talking about, I’m sure many others left there feeling shaken up like myself.

I love this store. Shopping Monday looking for shoe laces. Spoke to a manager she walked with me to show me where they were . Green grapes are huge and tasty. No complaints from me. Store is clean. Hard long rolls Portuguese Mealhada rolls yummy. My favorite.
