These guys are the best! Came in for a flat tire, they took care of it no problem. The funny part is on their wall, they have like 10 examples of how previous customers were scammed by other repair shops, then came to Gibraltar for an honest fix with the price comparison.

Took in our sienna for ac problem. Supposedly, they ran the coolant (Freon)test (which we paid for) and that they said there was a leak, we were quoted around $1500. Something didn’t feel right so we took it to another shop in milltown and they said it was a simple fix and they said there was no trace of running any coolant test (Freon).
We paid 1/4 of the price and had it fixed.
I didn’t want to write any review until I know that it was fixed correctly from the place we got it fixed from and it’s been 3 months and ac works perfectly.

My daughters car's idiot light went on while I was in the car wash then it began to stall. My daughter had this stalling problem also. I brought my daughter's car to Steve because on a previous time;my brother had auto body work done at another shop in the same building and it dealt with transmissions. Steve greeted me warmly, showed me his honor board and said if we had a problem to bring our car in. Well, I took him up on his offer by bringing her car there. So, after checking it he said it was a transmission problem that had a recall from the car maker. He said he could do the work but it would be pricey and it would be better to take it to a dealer for them to fix since it just made the mileage and years for the recall. I think he didnt charge us anything because he's nice. I did not let him know; but my brother is a master mechanic and I told my brother everything Steve told me. My brother said,"His price was reasonable & fair and that I should take it to the dealer." Which I did. They've had it longer than Steve had it. Hopefully, my daughter will get her car back soon. I would be happy to take any of my cars back to Steve.

It’s sad it took me this long to find the best in the business hands down. My last experience with Pep Boys drove me to find another mechanic. I read the reviews and found nothing but great things said about Steve and his team. If would rate this review higher if I could. I had major brake issues due to Pep Boys work, and as soon as I brought my car in and spoke to Steve, he prioritized my issue and didn’t stop until it was fixed. It meant everything to me. One of the most honest and trustworthy person I’ve ever come across. He takes his time to understand what’s wrong. He took my car for a test drive himself a few times. He took me out to show me my car on the lift and explained the game plan to fix it. There was so much communication in the process with the status of my car. He is so empathic and was truly unhappy himself with the stress I went through with Pep Boys. I had serious issues with my brakes shaking and letting off a burning smell. My car was also shaking while driving normally. I felt hopeless and worried I was going to spend a fortune getting everything done. Steve made sure every issue was fixed and at such a reasonable price. Pepboys was trying to charge me more and for issues they created! I’m grateful for Steve and his team. I’ve come across several mechanics and no one comes close. I recommend them above anyone else out there!

Superman to the rescue! My family and I were passing through when our car broke down. Unfamiliar with the area we looked up a place to take our car. Gibraltar went above and beyond to help us. They were friendly, honest and able to get our car fixed so our plans were not ruined. An over all great experience.

I see that this place has such a great high rating and yet on their website they claim to get in concert with them to get a quote so I sent them an email just with a simple question 4 days ago and they have yet to reply to me you can't be that busy not to check your email especially if you're a place of business

The owner is a great guy very nice with a great sense of humor I needed a new transmission and it was order installed and I was back on the road they did a awesome job and prices are great but most importantly they are honest on what needs to be done and he works with you if finances are not all the way there

"After three visits over six years, I rate Gibraltar a 1 out of 5. This was hard, I kind of liked and trusted Steve but each time the final bill far exceeded the quote without any added services, just an increase in cost to get the original job done. A $4,000 job cost $4,600; a $250 repair went to $375; and a $575 quoted service skyrocketed to $1,750. Another shop charged an additional $3,000, blaming Gibraltar's attempt at repairs to cause damage and subsequently premature failure. Yes attempt because the repair didn't work. This pattern persisted across three cars with different issues.
This was what I experienced and as I said I trusted Steve and do not want to cry foul play but those are the facts of my experience, you will have to determine for yourself.

My car broke down on the highway while I was driving back to Maine. It was right before they closed, but I was able to talk to them and they got to my car first thing in the morning and got me back on the road in a few hours.
