Cool and unique downtown area on top of a hill. Boonton Coffee Company is excellent. Lots of restaurants and the charming library building are all on Main St.

You can find just about anything going on and out of these stores. There are plenty of places to get everything from a good meal to a snack, and everything in between.

Small and cute library. They do many activities which are free. They encanto movie for kids with free empanadas for them. Took my kid there and it was a pleasant and enjoyable evening. Adults can then go across the library to the Mexican restaurant for food and some drink.

I used to go to this library all the time but I had an experience that soured me to the place entirely. While I was browsing the shelves one day, I overheard the two staff members at the front desk having a very loud and mean-spirited conversation about a third person. As I listened, the repeatedly commented on her body as they looked through her pictures on Instagram, and called her "fat" and "disgusting." I don't know this third person, but the way they talked was so cruel (and loud, I could hear them clearly from the back shelves) that I no longer feel comfortable going to this library and have started going to the one closest to my work.

Not a good place. Rude and disrespectful staff make it not a fun place to be. Shame a nice building in a pleasant town ruined by a horrible staff who are rude to patrons.

Since 1973 I have loved Main Street Boonton. Holmes library, 2 coffee ☕ shops, Pasquale & Roma Pizzerias, Chilly Willie's Mexican ( better than any other, including the best Mexican restaurants in Manhattan) and some of the antique stores are first rate.

If this library wants more reviews, it better do an about face with its staff. I went in this library asking for one thing -- and I was met with the rudest response from a staff member. The library was quiet at the time -- so there is no excuse for this kind of behavior. I also sent the director a detailed account of what happened -- and she took her own sweet time in responding to me. You can't even get considerate and decent help in a library these days.

A lovely and historic library from the outside, but the staff inside leaves a lot to be desired. One staff member was particularly abrupt and rude. I was taken so aback by this, that I complained to the library's director. I will think twice before I enter this library again.
