I have so many amazing things to say about Black Eyed Susans! The short version of this review is: Alyssa and Angela are FANTASTIC at what they do. You can not go wrong with choosing them for any floral needs you have.
The longer version: I initially met with Susan ( the previous owner ) to chat about flowers for my upcoming vintage themed wedding. I told her my vision- a mix of as many colors as possible with a natural, wildflower energy. My wedding was still months away at this point, so I checked florals off my to do list and moved on with my wedding planning.
Then I got a call from Alyssa, letting me know that Susan had sold BES, and to introduce herself as the new owner. I was hesitant at first, as I hadn’t ever met or talked to Alyssa. But after a brief call I felt completely confident that my wedding needs were in good hands. Alyssa was confident, enthusiastic and listened intently. She communicated in a very timely fashion and kept our budget in mind when designing our florals.
A few weeks later, Angela and Alyssa called me in to look at a trial bouquet. It was beautiful. But, not only was the bouquet everything I had asked for, the retail space itself was in the process of a lovely and much needed update. The retail space before was cold and a bit outdated. Now it’s warm and inviting, filled with green plants and colorful flowers.
But, nothing will ever compare to my stunning wedding florals. At one point I almost considered going with dried flowers because I also love that aesthetic, but I’m SO grateful that I didn’t go that route.
I could continue here, but that’s enough words from me. Just look at these pictures, they speak for themselves.

Alyssa provided the flowers for an event at the LBI Historical Museum last week and they were beautiful. She's helpful and knowledgeable about her flowers and puts together gorgeous bouquets! Alyssa's generosity is amazing!

I ordered a plant through the Barnegat Funeral Home website. It was about 3 Thursday in the afternoon n the viewing was at 4. I was informed that the plant wouldn’t make it there until Friday morning for the mass which was acceptable. I was extremely surprised very pleased n grateful that the plant WAS delivered by 4. Black Eyed Susan was the florist now that is fabulous customer service. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

I have been here many times for flowers and they were okay. Long story short I asked to make a flower arrangement for my friends birthday and said something different, specially "no shoprite vibes" flowers and that's exactly what it looked like. I asked for unique, boho. She gave me Hawaiian. Anyway she said she would refund or do a new one. FOLLOW UP: she has ignored mey request for a refund. I will never use this flower shop again, I used it for all my teachers presents, dances, holidays, gifts, etc. NO THANKS!
