I love this place for it's wide selection of arts and crafts and home decor, but the managers there are absolutely appalling. Apparently because I ride a bike (my $3,000 Electric Bike.) and have red hair, that automatically makes me a thief. The last time I was in there the manager went to great lengths to make me feel uncomfortable. She even pretended to get a call from the Rochester police (over the intercom) while she was one aisle over from me so she could reply LOUDLY via walkie talkie that she needed them to look over some footage for possible shoplifting. I didn't think much of it at this point, however after I went over to the opposite side of the store and TWO MORE TIMES she coincidentally just happened to be yet again one aisle over from me so she could loudly communicate via walkie talkie first about the eta of the Rochester Police so they could help her with a shoplifter and then about having the go to the back office to go over the footage with her, however they were never actually seen and she continues to follow my every move thru the store and never went to assist these officers she claimed to have there. Typically I wouldn't think this was for me however when I went to cash out, she coincidentally mom longer needed to be stocking every aisle that happened to be next to the one I was shopping in and she instead stood at the end of the lane I cashed out in, with her arms crossed staring at me. Another customer even said something to me about it. I was humiliated. Shame on that manager and her socially profiling me. But this is nothing new to Hobby Lobby. Mind you, I spend anywhere between $100 to $400 *every time* I go there, but their other manager, if he sees you in the bead aisle (I make and sell jewlery so I'm there a lot.) and you don't look like a cookie cutter soccer mom, he will literally follow you for the rest of your trip there "stocking" the same aisle you're in and directly NEXT to where you're looking. Almost brushing up against you because he's so close. Meanwhile, I've watched someone else pocket store items while I was being made to feel like the criminal all in the name of socially profiling customers. This manager literally chased me out the door and followed me to the parking lot after I PAID for ALL my things. For what reason?? To further humiliate me?? Hobby Lobby you need to talk to your managers at this location and your lost prevention team because they are absolutely atrocious and they waste time harassing your customers who are just innocently shopping and don't even see the real theft taking place elsewhere in the store.

This store sells mostly stuff that nobody needs and has too much of an agenda for my liking. No thanks. If I really feel the need for that kind of thing I will definitely look elsewhere.

Found the store clean, organized, and well kept. I was looking for journaling stickers/ scrapbook stickers and new pens and markers. I found items quickly and also, got great pricing on all of the items I purchased. Overall a good experienc. Checkout was fast and the clerks both very nice. Definitely going back.

So inexpensive, clean, easy to find everything. I hated the music but that's mostly irrelevant.

The company aside, as I'm aware the staff of this location is not in control of the questionable practices of the company as a whole, the staff at this location is disconnected, disgruntled and generally unhappy. I work retail and am very personable, knowing how much the general public can suck, and very few employees here are receptive to any friendliness. To top it off, the last time I was in I must have been spending too much time browsing the huge number of aisles because a tall, learing man in a suit began following me around the store, literally everywhere I went he would be at the end of the aisle. He didn't ask if I needed help or say hello, he just stared at me. I almost dropped what I was going to purchase and walked out, it made me so uncomfortable.
If your loss prevention practice is piss poor customer service, I guess you're doing it right.
