If we could negative rate we would. This soon to be out of business store was unpleasant (putting it mildly) from the get go. The pretentious man at the register referred to himself as “we” stating “we’re weird here”. More like rude and obnoxious! As a responsible dog owner and it being our first time visiting we held back from drinking out of the “public” water bowl only to have this strange man grab the boys leashes. As a thin but strong female human who isn’t intimidated there was no way especially after telling him they had just gotten over a doggie bug they were drinking from the water bowl, This was both for our safety and any other dog that might drink from it. He proceeded to rant some things to himself and offer unwelcome and inappropriate critiques. With several items about to be purchased even at overpriced costs the behavior of this man was so off putting we let him know we wouldn’t be buying anything ever. It was unbelievable and took us by complete shock. If you go here be forewarned he may grab at your dogs leash! You’ll also be supporting someone who is not dog friendly and is judging you and your dogs while yes in his own words being “weird” and in our words being a “CREEP”!

The best dog store in town. Small business but prices comparable to the big pet stores. Amazing selection of healthy dog food, treats & chews! Highest quality cow ears I’ve seen at a store. The online place I was buying jumbo cow ears for my dog stopped selling them but the ones I found here are the same if not better. They also have the cutest toys and sweaters. Even a genuine Grateful Dead dancing bear toys! I was thoroughly

Long story short - while stopping in to pick up some new puppy gifts for a friend my dog had an accident in the store. Never okay of course, but it's a pet store and I imagine it's happened before. The owner was so horrible. Instead of making me aware and allowing me to clean it and pay for the pile of stuff I had - he came out from behind the counter slurring his words, accusing us of this being the second time (we'd never seen this man before in my life and I've only been on the store twice prior) and wouldn't stop mumbling about how awful we were. He had that blacked out drunk look in his eyes where he was staring right through you. It was extremely uncomfortable. We put our stuff down and left. I'mnot justifying my dogs actions but if you can't handle a dog having an accident in a pet store then you probablyshouldn't own one - or don't allow pets in.

Been coming here for years and I cannot sing their praises loudly enough. Truly a local gem, the staff and owners always seem willing to go above and beyond for any customer. If there is ever something you want that they don’t currently have then they order it for you, and they are so knowledgeable about dogs and care so much, that you can rest assured knowing all the products they carry are held to much higher standards than much of the stuff you will find on the shelves at larger chain stores. But as if all that wasn’t enough, I have found that when you compare oranges to oranges they are also SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive than the big box stores in town. I like to get these nice raw arcana treats that can be kinda pricy: they are FIVE DOLLARS CHEAPER HERE THAN PETCO. FIVE DOLLARS! That’s crazy. And they’re locally owned, and super nice and accommodating, AND they have a really awesome rewards program- if you live on the Seacoast and have a dog, this is the place to support.
