Very thankful for the help yesterday at the Plaistow location. We had an odd request for help for a lumber store. They listened and helped provide a great product to use on a serious RV roof issue. It might not be pretty but fingers crossed, next stop professional repair in VT.Cold drinks in a heat wave helped too! Thanks!

Moynihan Lumber in Plaistow has gone down since they have lost their one yard guy Earl I have gone in there multiple times and have not had great service. I have been told wait until we're ready which is wrong customer comes first not happy with the service here they need more people that will adapt to the customer.

I’ve been coming to Moynihan Lumber since I was a kid, well over 20 years now, being involved with family business. It’s my go to for lumber, doors and specialty items. Front desk is always alert and informative. The guys upstairs that do estimating are more than responsive. Moynihan Lumber always meets and/or exceeds my expectations whether it be a small purchase or a large special order. I’d like to say personally I am especially thankful for Mark Spicer at the front desk. His knowledge on products and ETA’s on orders is what every customer and contractor looks for. He gets the job done. He’s my first go to for anything over there. It’s always a great experience. Special thanks to everyone else serving the community as well… Eli, Ron, Chris,,, Jim and Joe up in estimating, Kim and Steve in windows and doors, Big Joe in Millwork, Joe and Steph in kitchen and bath, dispatch, all the guys in the yard, even Bill at the gate,,, all of which make for an excellent time and a pleasurable experience. Keep on keeping on guys, be strong, be courageous!!! Thank you for your time and your service.

At the beginning I would have recommended them however we didn’t end up using some of the railings purchased and I wanted to return them. I was prepared to pay a 10-15% restocking fee but I was told that the manufacturer is requesting a 30% restocking fee. I called the manufacturer and they stated that they do NOT take items back and they need to be returned where they were purchased. I’m not sure why Moynihan would state something that wasn’t true. The railings are standard sizes 6’ and 8’ Azec so I’m sure they would be able to resell them. Needless to say I wouldn’t recommend them and will not purchase from them in the future. I tried going to a small business but I should have just gone to Home Depot or Lowes

I use their North Reading store, the employees at the counter are knowledgeable and if they are uncertain of the product I am looking for they go the extra mile to find the answers or the product itself for me. Their free delivery is huge plus. Check them out if you haven!!

Horrible people skills! Lost my business! I went in on Saturday, it was like I was bothering them. No customer service whatsoever. Then going out back to get my products... the gentleman didn't even want to be bothered coming over to get the slip to help us! Place is a joke GO TO EAST COAST LUMBER!

Cannot say enough about how impressed we are! When everyone in the world is building decks and it's impossible to get wood, Moynihan was able to pull out all the stops and deliver everything we needed to build ours. All other stores were either not taking orders or the lead time was 7-10 days. The delivery was perfectly placed on the side of our driveway, the driver being conscientious to give us room to still park. The quality is fantastic and we are super happy!
