I grabbed some chicken fingers and fries for the kids and the employees made it fresh for them! I love Jake’s and they also have diesel!

Stopped here for gas, rest stop and stayed for lunch. Gas was Irving and I have their debit card, got my 10 cents off; bathroom was clean.Saw that they had a grill with a lot of menu items. Figured we would order here vs. burgers etc. Everything was fantastic for the price: I got a well seasoned steak bomb with chipotle mayo. Son got the Reuben. Wife and other son got the 3-chx tender meal with “jojo” potato wedges. It was more than enough food and all was well seasoned. If I lived closer I might get in trouble for this being a regular go to!We ate in the car overlooking the creek. They did have a table outside but it was sub freezing.Any way, well done and a bright spot for weary travelers trying to get home!

We were on road trip back to US from Canada. Suddenly our car dashboard showed a low tire pressure warning and we had to pull off I-89S to find a gas station to check the tires. We followed a gas station sign to Jakes Market & Deli. We were a little bit nervous because it’s nighttime and we didn’t know if this area safe or not. A gentleman came to us and asked if we’re all set while we were checking our tires at the parking lot. An female employee was very friendly. Her kind words and smile relieved our nervousness. We Inflated the tires and drove back to I-89S. We have a very good impression about Jakes Market & Deli. Wonderful place and wonderful people.

Great convenience store. Breakfast sandwiches are much better than Dunkin’ Donuts. Green mountain coffee is pretty good as well. The lunch options are pretty good as long as you get it made fresh.

I’m not sure who the owners are of this establishment, but it’s time to come and have a meeting with your staff. And the gentleman working on Saturday evening was easily one of the most miserable, unhelpful people I have ever met. Then on Sunday and this morning the shorter gentleman was equally as miserable. Not one smile, not a response to having a nice day, not helpful in anyway. I grew up coming here and this could be such a great place again but it’s taken a real turn for the worse. My son has special needs and he can be a little porky and the gentleman working this morning was staring at him like he was an actual monster. Like he’s never seen anyone before who were different. It was pretty appalling. And will just make sure that we go somewhere else and not bother the people who work here

Holy St. Guacamole. This is the best Irving I’ve ever been to. The store had so much. The food was great. Reasonably priced.

Repeated mask problems during COVID. Recently a gruff burly woman making sandwiches was wearing her mask below her chin--in this time when New Hampshire generally and New London specifically is experiencing highest numbers of COVID cases and hospitalizations. Customer in front of me asked the lady about it and she moved the mask below her nose. She looked like she was going to spit in the sandwich as soon as the customer wasn't looking. I was in there to order 5 sandwiches for a family lunch, but decided for our health not to and instead just bought a couple of bottles of water. Jake's lost around $50 on us that day for everything we would have bought for lunches (sandwiches, chips, dessert, etc.) Today I returned. Two customers walking around not wearing masks. I asked the nice cashier about it and she confided it's wisest for her not to comment on masks given some people who come would not take it well--and I knew precisely what she meant. Some pretty motley looking folks seem to frequent Jake's. A red-faced swaggery customer behind me--not wearing a mask--overheard me ask about masks in the store, and he starting taunting me for the type of mask I was wearing. I decided I didn't want to be anywhere near someone like that, or be in that store, so I left. Other than this clear problem with masks and sometimes quite seedy looking people working in the store (not the female cashiers who are nice and seem pretty normal) and sometimes pretty creepy looking folks hanging around the parking lot, Jake's has really good coffee, an interesting and wide variety of foods, and their homemade sandwiches tend to be delicious. You can also get Vermont made ice cream and home-baked dog biscuits, and other assorted things. When I got back to my parents' house I mentioned what happened. My brother said he'd never go to Jake's for that reason and my Dad said their friends don't go there anymore due to lack of masks (they're older).

Very amazing experience, very fancy nice food and people and clam chowder and 3 cheese ravioli actually looked and smelled great, especially for a convenience store. Also very nice fancy tea bags and fancy coffee flavors. Great New Hampshire feel gas station market place I give it a 13/10 would go again -a Rhode Islander

I've been to this location twice to get a sandwich for lunch. I thought maybe the guy behind the grill was having a bad day my first visit, but after a second time feeling like I'm putting him out by ordering a sandwich, I will no longer trouble him. Aside from pretty rude service, the grilled cheese was essentially a cheese sandwich on soggy bread. I'll stick with Jakes down the road in Georges Mills.

Love coming here before work to grab a breakfast sandwich. They also make lots of other sandwiches to go, all of which have been delicious. Good variety, always clean. My only complaint is their car wash which came out with streaks all over it.

Here's the thing. When you sell gas and coffee, you should not run out of coffee @ 700 am 10 out of 14 days. They wait until a canister is empty until brewing. At 715 every morning their regular unflavored coffees are empty and they wait until a customer lets them know. And after you pay you get the most incredible insincere have a nice day.
