I adore Dr. Huston and Sandy, his tech. He is a true HERO. He's also "The Cat Whisperer". He's a smart, gentle Dr. Sandy is very kind and helpful. The prices are much better than the big hospital in town. I love to support smaller local businesses. I would recommend State Line Veterinary Hospital ALL DAY LONG! You're a good man Dr. Huston and appreciated by all. Thank you for helping my pets with your magic touch. Keep up the great work!!!!!!

Warning warning pet owners this place should be shut down very run down Facility inside just as bad . Should not be performing any type of surgeries or procedures in this place.Very unprofessional, but i was very happy that they messed up on my appointment Would have never have left my dog there regardless what a mistake. Spoke to friends of animals and they said they've had lots of complaints about this place. Also friends of animals said that they will give me My money back for this certificate .. Not trying to be mean to the owners. But it's time to close up shop.

Worst customer service ever. The women who answers the phone and does the booking was cold, judgmental and lacked all empathy for my pets situation. No comparison at all. Not a place I will ever take my animals back to.

This animal hospital was the most judgmental place I have ever had to deal with. No compassion. The women who answers the phone is also extremely rude and unhelpful. I have never had a colder interaction when inquiring about care for my animal.

I got a neuter certificate from friends of animals for 25% of what my normal vet was going to charge me. State line is the only vet around that accepts these. I was nervous because of some of the reviews, but after visiting, I LOVE this place. It's a charming old farm house, not a run down place. And the current doc has been there since 1974. It was fun to hear the history of the place and chat with the doc about what the area was like 50 years ago. Sandy was very kind and Dr. Houston was very thorough during the check-up. I 100% recommend this vet. If they were closer to where i live, i would use them as my primary.

Brought our dog here to get her spayed, doc did a wonderful job and she healed up fast & quick. We see the doc regularly for cytopoint shots for her skin allergies & they're great with her everytime.

I had my cat neutered today. Threw FOA which helped a lot as well with the cost. They staff and vet was very nice and my cats nails were trimmed well! My cat after 5 hours is doing great and active eating/drinking water!

So, I read all the other reviews before ultimately deciding to give this place a shot as i had the FOA certificate. When I first called, Sandy was very pleasant on the phone and I never got a mean vibe from her. While, YES the place is older than dirt and really run down, they get the job done and my pup is now spayed for a lot less than I would have paid at my vet.

I called State Line Veterinary hospital as they come up as a Friends of Animals provider in hope to get an idea if they still honor the voucher as the program requests. I'm fostering a dog off the NYC ACC kill list and he wasn't eating in the shelter so we couldn't wait to pull him and he still needs neuter. Well, the woman that answer was the most confusing and rude person I have experienced in some time. She told me "sometimes they accept the vouchers, sometimes they don't" but they can't guarantee and they can't schedule. She also told me there is no waiting list and she refuses to talk to the doctor because he's busy. I understand having a bad day or being overwhelmed, but there is no need to be rude and unhelpful. As she says "you can call back, but my answer won't change." I highly recommend avoiding this place as this isn't customer service and this person doesn't care about the animals.

Dr. Huston has been out family veterinarian for 20+ years he's helped us with her puppy checkups and he's helped us say goodbye to our dogs. He's the best of the best
