Great basic gym with lots of space and options for any type of workout. It's not spa-like but I like that about it. It's relaxed, so you don't feel self conscious when you're a sweaty mess at the end. Affordable too!

While I love all the instructors and the classes they teach I feel bad that they have no input on the condition of the gym! No heat or air conditioning for months! No men’s room for just about a year! Outdated and not so healthy women’s locker room. A dingy and dark workout room in the basement with horrible circulation. Owners need to step up and get this place operational and clean. We all feel that they just don’t care!!!!!!!

Got a membership for me and my sister so we could use the pool. Pool is about the only okay thing about the place. For the price they charge you would think they would have repaired some stuff. Not impressed with staff either. Right before writing this I was there and they close at 8pm, I got there at like 6:45 and the door was locked. Guy came out from behind the counter and opened the door and then around 7:30 I went into the women’s locker room and the lights were all off no idea where I could turn them on and guy was nowhere in sight. I understand when it’s slow and there’s only a couple of us there but locking the door and shutting the lights off? You might as well tell people directly you wish they hadn’t come in. I’m paying $80 a month for you to make it difficult and uncomfortable for me to workout. Ridiculous

The Wellness Complex, in Laconia is the most dirty and disgusting gym I've ever been to. The ceiling in the men's locker room caved in last winter. The water temp in the showers, the ones that work, changes suddenly and burns you. The pool is dirty, the few showers that work, are dirty. The equipment is dirty. Stay away. The pool is freezing and the ladies room is filthy. They also tried to charge a ”joining fee” without telling me. Ugh ?

I would not recommend swim classes to anyone unless you are ok with classes being cancelled with no notice. We signed up for the Parent and Me class at the beginning of the year. We showed up to the first class to find out it was cancelled but they didn’t tell anyone. The instructor had an emergency which I completely understand happens. They still let us use the pool. The few classes that we had were great. We loved the instructor! Unfortunately the communication of the management was horrible and we decided not to finish our lessons. 4 of the 6 classes were cancelled and we were not notified for any of them meaning I drove 30+ minutes to then have to turn right back around. Management needs to find a way to better communicate with members if they are going to cancel class.

1 star is all this place deserves. The building is falling down around the pool. The scheduled classes are ALWAYS closed due to the lights not working in the pool area. You can never get into a rhythm because it’s always closed. You get up to go to a class get dressed to find out a 9 am class is cancelled because they have no lights. We pay our monthly membership and never get what we pay for! My boyfriend needs to change in the kids changing room because the locker rooms are closed with HUGE holes in the ceiling. The woman’s locker room the drains are all blocked up and the water spills out of showers all over floor. It’s a dump with a pool. We complain to management all the time and nothing but classes get canceled. We are trapped in this place because no one else offers a pool in the area and for medical needs I need a pool! I could not be more disappointed in this place! Zero stars they do a GREAR a job deducting me ever ship dues never a problem there.

Such a lack of communication within this establishment. I signed up for the parent and me swim class with high hopes it would be an enjoyable time for my child. Swim class were canceled several times with no emails, no phones calls or text messages. So I drove almost a hour-one way- to be told there is no class. I have continuously confirmed my email with the front desk, checked my spam area in my email, called multiple times the day of swim class just to arrive to it be canceled. I saw several other parents also show up multiple times when class was canceled. No one seems to care which is very upsetting. I would never recommend anyone go here for the parent and me swim class due to the lack of communication and respond time to customers.

I think at some point this place was nice but seems to be in need of repair and not the cleanest place. The sign up fee turned me off. I am seasonal to the area and the only way to put the membership on hold is to pay a monthly fee year round or the sign up fee every year. I won't be joining next summer and pay another $99 plus $59 per month for a few months. Put some money into the place and I may consider it.

I forgot to write a review after I stopped working here but was recently looking at the reviews of the owner's other gym in Concord and was sickened that the quality is as poor there. I chose to work at TWC because I would never pay to go to that gym as of recent years but I wanted access to a pool, still wasnt worth it. I used to have a membership when it was the swim club in 2013, it WAS a great gym.. the new owners really lit this place on fire and have been hiding in concord as it burns to the ground. When applying management looked at me like I was crazy when I said I wanted to work there. I definitely understand why after working there for only 2 months because I ended up getting sick from mold exposure, thank goodness my doctor asked me if Id been exposed to mold cause I would have blamed all of the wild new symptoms on my lyme disease. I cant imagine a single thing has improved since their awareness of this. Pink "mold" was regularly cleaned off the showers, it was just a part of the cleaning routine so they were well aware. I noticed that the AC or mini split in the women's locker room was full of black mold, pretty sure I just got a "yeah we know" when I reported this. Without a doubt you're breathing in mold particles everywhere you go in the building. Membership prices arent listed on the pathetic website that looks worse than my high school webpage design final. My guess is the price just went up due to nothing but inflation, it was seventy something back in 2020. $70 a month to get sick at "The Wellness Complex" is some of the finest laconia trash I've come across. I'd love to know what the membership income goes to cause it's clearly not spend on improving the gym or to pay the staff a liveable wage. You work there if you have spare time to get a free membership and you workout there if you're a senior looking for water aerobics classes. The whole building should just be torn down, sell the property and get out of fitness industry. The best thing that could happen to this place is if they sell the property to fit focus, if anyone can save it its probably them but they probably have enough business insight to stay away from this place.

The Sunday morning and Zumba water exercise classes were great. Others were same thing every class, people just talked difficult to hear instructor. Pool area clean . Locker rooms needed a deep clean, poor air circulation , showers were not cleanall in working order.
