“Positives: Good online experience, friendly people, fast digital transfers.Negatives: Increases in fees, reducing competitiveness.I recently received notice that a personal checking account I used for transfers into/out of my business was going to get $6/monthly fees had I not significantly increased my activities on that one account, nevermind that I have other accounts with the Bank. $6 isn't much by itself but it really adds up when you combine it with all the fees various business (banks and otherwise) have tacked on in the past couple years. This is highly annoying when other online banks and credit unions have fees/reduced fees--and no bank seems to like to pay more than minimal interest on accounts anyway these days. However, I do a lot of business in NH and having a Bank NH account makes doing business easier. I wish the Bank of NH leadership would have holistically reviewed my accounts and waived the fees for my personal checking given the business traffic I bring.While I gave a 4 star review overall to the Bank in light of these changes, I wish to give a 5 star review to Tracy, Branch Manager in Plymouth, for swiftly helping me come up a with a solution to reduce/eliminate fees, which involved changing account types. Though it wasn't the exact solution I had in mind, I appreciate her willingness to resolve my concerns in an amicable manner.In general, my bottom line is that Bank NH is continuing to increase fees and eliminate options and ultimately I think this is a negative direction. In this higher interest rate environment there have got to be better solutions for revenue than putting fees on account holders.”
