This pharmacy sucks! It took almost an hour for them to get my prescription, and probably would have taken even longer if I didn't tell the manager to get it together. I sure as hell won't be coming back.

Took my 4 year old daughter to Urgent Care for an ear infection. Was done at urgent care at 6:03pm. Waited for her antibiotics to be ready at home since they were sent to this Walgreens. Didn’t receive notification of it being ready until 7:47pm. Headed straight over and was in line by 7:53pm and watched them help the person in front of us. Pulled up to the window by 7:59 and they had then closed down. Attempted to notify the pharmacy staff and spoke with Shawn that we were in line before they closed at 8pm and that we need this antibiotic so our young daughter’s ear infection doesn’t get worse. Was told by Shawn that they can’t help us and to take her to the ER and we’ll have to figure it out. They didn’t even have the courtesy to let us know which Walgreens is still open and that we could have them forward it to a different location. I think this Walgreens has forgotten was compassionate healthcare is.

On hold for 20 or 30 minutes. That is absolutely unnecessary.

WORST pharmacy I have ever used. I have never had to fight so hard to get prescriptions that my doctor has written for me in my life. I've been told "we need to get an okay from your doctor before we release these to you" multiple times, which is insane. My doctor WROTE the prescription, and SENT it to you... how is that not them giving the okay to release it to me? They freaking wrote it!!! I agree with other people who have reviewed saying they felt they were treated as criminals here. 100% that is how I have felt every single time I have gone in here. I struggle with severe anxiety and sleep issues, and literally went three days without sleep (and barely any the other nights), because they wouldn't release my prescription to me. It. Is. Insane. I will just go elsewhere, like what do y'all think is going to happen?

We have been having my prescriptions filled here since the day you opened. Communication is poor at best, east Indian employees are actually quite rude and very difficult to understand. Many times in the evening we've been told prescriptions are ready. Then we come in the next morning only to be told they're not ready and to come back.
Why do we stay here you ask? The drive-thru, when it works.
So today I'll cough my way through the store to try to pick up 6 prescriptions with pneumonia.

The pharmacy at Pyramid and Eagle Canyon in Sparks is the absolute WORST. It's staffed with incompetent and ignorant people who have no clue whatsoever what they are doing and provide inaccurate information. On top of that, they are rude. Time to find a new pharmacy.

Pharmacy is a joke. Had to pick up a refill. Took 2 days and numerous phone calls to get it right. Unfortunately had to drop one off for husband. They screwed that one up also. Going back tomorrow get the original rx and going somewhere else.

My wife was told on the phone that her prescription would be ready at 10:30 AM. I gave them a little extra time and arrived at 11:15 AM. I was then told that it would be another 5 or 10 minutes. I waited 20 minutes and asked if it was ready yet. Guess what, it wasn't. It took almost an hour. I've been going to this Walgreens for a while because it's close to where I live. But the service has gone downhill, so I will be transferring to CVS as soon as I finish this review.

They never answer the phone, commonly take over 10 minutes to assist a client. It’s the only pharmacy in the area though so you have little to no choice unless you wish to drive to a location in Reno. They lack initiative as well. They refuse to reach out to insurance to seek approval and wait for insurance to send in approval. However, when the approval is sent in by insurance, walgreens still lacks the appropriate approval to provide medications. They understand our options are limited in this area and because of that they understand they can poorly operate and still retrain clients. It’s truly disappointing a business such as Walgreens allow this location to operate as poorly as it does. They love to point the blame at the insurance companies who then points the blame at Walgreens. It’s clear there is no leadership at the pharmacy ensuring communication between the provider and the pharmacy is occurring. 12 year olds with lemonade stands operate better businesses than this. Overall, this Walgreens is absolutely horrendous and painful to deal with, but it’s our only option unless you want to go into town for another pharmacy.

Spent 50 minutes on hold to be told my prescription would be ready in about 30 minutes. Don't know why it took so long to talk to someone and don't know why it takes 30 minutes to count 30 doses of medication. Worst pharmacy is Spanish springs by far, but it's the only pharmacy I Spanish springs... it's as though the walgreens regional manager thinks it funny he/she can run a business so poorly.

Worst pharmacy ever been too. Checked in for vaccinations and wondered what was wrong when others that came in after our appointment time, when I asked they said they were taking people by their appointment, I explained that obviously their counter person did not properly check us in on their system. After everyone else was gone from the waiting area I went up again. They said the pharmacist was working on our vaccinations(for 20 minutes!)...I expressed my frustration to the counter person, she apologized ten walked back to the group in the processing area looked back and nodded in our direction and they all broken into laughter (no exaggeration). An hour and half plus after our "appointment" time we received our vaccination. Glad we made their day for a good laugh, when the pharmacy workers go on their "work stoppage" I will be rooting for AI to replace these clowns. I have always said "never let your customers feel they can do without you, because one day they just might". Good luck in you new jobs at a fast food restaurant after the work stoppage! Go to the Walgreens on Los Altos, only went here because it's close to the house, never make that mistake again.

I certainly agree with the current 2 star rating of Wallgreen's pharmacy in Spanish Sprngs. I transferred my meds from another source approx 4 months ago. The store and the pharmacy managers treated me like I was a petty criminal. Apparently the pharmacist mixed 2 meds that I was told were ready to be picked up and one more would be ready tomorrow. The tomorrow one winded up in one of 2 bags and the one I was to pick up was left behind. I had 2 prescriptions, each in separate bags. When I got home and opened the bags I noticed the wrong meds in the bag. The next day I was told to bring the meds in. The pharmacy member examined the video (?) and commented that I had picked up the right meds and the video showed the pharmacist bagging the meds. The store manager chimed in and I was placed in a predicament. Finally I said "How do you explain, that I have what were to be tomorrow's meds in this vial that has yesterday's date. I had previously told them they both would owe me an apology when this was resolved. At the end they conceded, the store manager apologized, but no apology from the pharmacy manager. A few weeks later I picked up a med that I have been taking for years. My daily dosage is 25 mg, the pharmacist gave me tablets that were 100 mg. I caught that mistake again and the pharmacist apologized and gave me the proper dosage without incident. Am I one of a few with bad experiences at the Spanish Springs Wallgreen's Pharmacy or am I one of the few to speak out?
