“This is my favorite WinCo in town! It's a bit out of my way, but always worth the drive. The store is clean, the shopping carts all work, and the employees are so friendly and kind! There are plenty of manned checkouts and self-checkouts available. On my recent visit when checking out, I noticed that the cashier I was about to go to was "in-training" and they had a sign asking people to be patient. I almost turned around and then thought, nah, she needs it! Her name is Maddi and she was the absolute sweetest! Very pleasant to talk to and doing an excellent job with how new she was! I noticed the other employees were all incredibly kind and gracious with her as well. I rarely ever have an issue finding the things I need here and everything is a great price! I am always surprised at how low my grocery bill is when I come here vs other stores. I've also never had an issue with the quality of food/products I've found here.”

“Great clean store, short on help, only one cashier most of the time!! But those people that do work there are happy to point You in the right direction, or just help You in anyway possible. Shelf's are always stocked and squared away. Great shopping experience, and the prices are not to Bidenest either!!”

“Raleys is close to where I live. If in something quick I'll go there. However, they are high priced and the quality on the fruits and vegetables aren't the best like you would think.”

“The menudo here is bomb! I never thought I was going to get handmade tortillas but boy I got a surprise. This places is definitely a jewel in town if your looking for a good menudo, this place is definitely a must go, they are also way different than others this place will ask you if you’ll like pata or not. Not like in other places they just won’t even ask you nor add it. Definitely recommend them definitely will be coming to try other foods from their menu.Parking: They have parking in front of the store but they also have lots more in front of them.”

“I highly recommend this place. I went to get a recommended over the counter medicine cicloferon. They had it the line was very long but very fast. They have a huge selection of foods and medications. They also have a butcher and the cuts of meat looked very nice. The cashier was very friendly. I only took off one star because I asked a guy on the floor if he knew if they had it before I got in the very long line and all he said was ya it is a really long line. Otherwise I would have given five. Very good store.”

“Nicest owner I’ve ever met! She helped me find what I needed and made some recommendations that helped this dumb American make something that tasted amazing. I couldn’t have done it without her recommendation!”

“I visited this store for the first time today. It was very clean, inside and out. My main focus was the produce section. It's quite large! I had a little trouble finding the organic items. I can't say that all of the produce was in great shape, however, if one takes a few moments to inspect things more closely, some decent items can be found. They had Brentwood corn! I lived in the East Bay for years, and Brentwood corn on the cob was always a treasure! The bulk section is very large, also. Everything is large in this store! If you want to see everything the store has to offer, I recommend you set aside some time and wear comfortable shoes.”

“I do not usually come here as they typically carry the EXACT same stuff as the Reno location. Whereas the Carson City location not only has different products but also different sales. Quality/Quantity - Got one of each size of the discounted snow shoes! Actually I bought them all. Last time I looked, I only had two feet??? I got them for all my guests when they visit. If you are following, you know I am on this exercise kick! This has been on my list and to get it for $10 each! Normally they are around $80 each. I was so happy. Quite a few products that I believe the Reno location does not have, see pictures. Oh, and their gas was 1 cent cheaper than Reno's Costco. Atmosphere - Consistent except for the above. Today was also a generous sample day, I almost skipped dinner after shopping here. Actually, I gave my wife half my entree because I left here so full. Service - 5 stars. Demo sample team was good. The employees were friendly. Especially the two that I made small talk with showing them the snow shoes I was buying. Price - Great prices today! But as usual we overspent... When we find these sales, we buy it all whether we need them or not. I did not even look at all the stuff my wife bought because all I could think about was my future hikes. :) With my $10 snow shoes, LOL. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 2006. Congrats on all your success since 1976, since Price Club. Now you are the 5th largest retailer in the world and #10 on the Fortune 500. 804 warehouses worldwide, with 558 in the US. 1980 IPO. 1993 Price Club and Costco merger. 1997 Rebrand all locations to Costco. 2020 105.5 million members.”

“Friendly owner who let me know that if there was anything I wanted him to carry in his little store to just let him know. I live out of state so there's little likelihood of my return but still a nice jester. Convenient off freeway access is nice.”

“I don't know why nobody has ever reviewed this lil grocery store but I'm here to be the first. I actually think the name is V Food mart. Kathy, the clerk and chef whipped up the most yummy Jojos potatoes ( their take on a French fry but way better) super soft and pillowy on the inside and SUPER crispy and deliciously seasoned. She also suggested we try the Apple pie and it was WAY better than Mcdonalds. Went back and got two more ‍”

“I am a frequent customer here, and the old bald white cashier they just hired wouldn't sell me the pack of American spirit cigarettes I always get there. I am well known by the owner there. I went and spoke to the owner about 15 minutes later and the cashier was set straight real quick! Im very grateful”

“I've used this place for a while and it's prices were a little less expensive, they have gone up and down, though. It's a typical grocery store to shop at and any problems, they sure work to fix, even if it takes some time to do it. Nice staff .”

“Beyond excellent customer service! I came here for gas and my car battery died. They helped push my car out of the way and were so nice and understanding. I spoke with four different employees and each one was so genuinely nice and kind. Thank you all so much for being so great!”

“I go to the Life Force NV Chiropractic office weekly in the shopping center complex weekly. Smith's is the cornerstone store of the shopping center. I can always get a good deal on meats or other items. I get change for the vending machine where I live and the clerks are always kind and courteous. The Reed High School students can fill up the parking lot on lunch break and after school lets out but they are well mannered and put their back packs in the corner when they go in the store.”

“I Love this store. The staff is very friendly as well as helpful. I just wish those people who own other businesses would not come in and buy all of one item and leave us with nothing.”

“This is a good store and good people work here, however there is a MAJOR problem. This store is directly located across the street from Reed high and the teenagers who INFEST the place are AWFUL. You want to avoid the store in the mornings before they start school and when they get out of school. Their parents don’t care that their children are terrorizing everyone in that shopping center and wreaking havoc daily. I’ve seen them get into screaming arguments with the employees because they get caught stealing and it honestly makes me fear for their lives because this generation is doomed and they think they are invincible so they’re capable of anything, it’s terrifying. This is a good store but it needs some security because these kids are not scared of nor do they respect the regular employees.”

“We, my family and some cousins, were at this Safeway on 11 November aka Veterans Day 2022. We purchased tp, people food, dog food, cat food, and kitty litter. Customer service was adequate Bathroom was clean. Some cashiers and some customers wore a mask and wore it in a safe manner (Isn't it ALWAYS preferable to wear a mask now instead of a ventilator later?!?). Social distancing was followed by most customers (Isn't it ALWAYS preferable to be 6' apart than 6' feet under?!?). November is National Veterans and Military Families Month. The managers(s) of this business like their Freedom so they have a 10% Military and Veterans Discount every November to those who Serve or have Served as a token thanks to our GIs and we Veterans. A Veterans Discount means a lot to those unable to be employed due to military Service-connected disability as on limited fixed income. Cashier thanked us for our Service On this day in history 3 January 1943 - A US B-17E bomber, brand-new 42-5084 'Panhandle Doggie II', was downed over German-occupied France following a bombing run over a German submarine base in southern France. All crew ejected but German soldiers were ordered to prevent local fishermen going to the rescue of the men who came down in the sea and those Americans drowned. 1st Lieutenant John H. Roten, Navigator, was the only survivor as he parachute landed on the roof of a house. Roten spent 28 months as a Prisoner of War (POW) at Stalag Luft 11 Sagan and took part in the grim Long March to Mooseburg in April 1945. September 1997, Roten and his wife paid a visit to the town of Noirmoutier en L'ile at the invitation of the Mayor to unveil a plaque commemorating his parachute landing on the roof of the house on Rue Beaulieu. 1944 - Commander Frank A. Erickson flies plasma in a US Coast Guard HNS-1 helicopter from Brooklyn, New York to a hospital in Sandy Hook, New Jersey in the first recorded mission of mercy conducted by a rotary wing aircraft. On 7 December 1941, US Coast Guard aviator Frank Erickson was stationed in the control tower of the US Naval Air Station overlooking Pearl Harbor. From his vantage point he watched helplessly in horror as sailors drowned in oily water during the Japanese attack that day. Erickson had recently read about the new invention of the helicopter by Igor Sikorsky, and vowed to himself that he would someday use the helicopter to save lives. In January 1944, a fierce storm swept the Atlantic coast forcing the grounding of airplanes and close of airfields. Deadly explosions then ripped destroyer USS Turner (DD-648) apart as she lay anchored off Ambrose Light near Lower New York Bay during the morning watch on 3 January 1944. Despite the crew's gallant attempts to save their ship, she sank within hours. Rescuers brought survivors to the nearby hospital at Sandy Hook. The wounded urgently needed blood plasma. Commander Erickson volunteered. He took off from Floyd Bennett Field in New York and fought gusting winds to deliver two cases of the precious fluid lashed to the helicopter's floats. This hero pilot afterward observed that the "weather conditions were such that this flight could not have been made in any other type of aircraft." Born near Portland, Oregon, Erickson enlisted in US Navy, attended one term at US Naval Academy, then enlisted in US Coast Guard. He received an appointment to US Coast Guard Academy, graduated and commissioned as an Ensign in 1931. After Service onboard cutters before World War II, he transferred to Honolulu where he witnessed the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Erickson subsequently became instrumental in the early development of helicopters and pioneered many of the techniques that the Navy and Coast Guard adapted. He retired as a Captain in 1955. 1944 - US Marine Corps ace Major Gregory "Pappy" Boyington captured. According to part-Sioux part-Irish ROTC Washington University engineering graduate Boyington's autobiography, he was never accorded the required POW status by the Japanese, and his captivity”
