Where do I start... I had been going to Gonzalez Auto Repair from 2011 to about 2017 this guy is always rushing, un organized and gives maybe quotes. Throughout the years I had seen so many people complain about the work that was done to their car and the bad service provided.I had said nothing at the time, because i was not being mistreated at that time.Then all of a sudden I noticed his attitude started to change for what ever reason. I did not make too much of a big deal, just thought it was a bad day, everyone deserves a couple, but watching closely, remember always take notice of that when 1.) spending money 2.) whether it effects you or not, I had spent so much money in his place. I started receiving terrible service like my money did not count and it was not green, i was being mistreated like I was giving blue money. (THE STORY) I was rebuilding my 2000 F-150 Harley Davidson anniversary model truck needed a transmission, I had already done my personal quote $400 for a used transmission at the wrecking yard 6 month guarantee and about $250 to $300 for installation $700 from 5 quotes at different places. So I asked him his price he tells me $1700 so I mention the previous quotes and that I would buy the transmission, he looked surprised like ohh you already checked, Yeeeesss! So he lowered his price from $1700 to $700. There were other things that I had needed to get done to my vehicle so he had my car 2 to three months again I had been dealing with him for years so I thought everything would be ok. So the months went by I had not received a phone call on my car or any messages. So I called Oliverio he may use different name to new customers who knows? Once calling him he sounded surprised. I asked if my car was ready he said yes, so I went to go Pay him $600 and would pay the rest later once receiving my car. I asked where was my car he said at his house, I questioned that.. why was my car at his house not at his garage and paid him and deal with that matter upon completion of payment. So the next day I went to pick up my vehicle and Oliverio said... ohh your car is not here, I was in shock and asked him where was my vehicle he said he did not know, I told him he better find it. I called the Police to report a stolen vehicle, they said before reporting it stolen call a specific number to check if your car is there. I called that number and my car was at the TOW yard. I was trying to figure out what the hell was going on.. So I asked the tow yard where did they pick up my vehicle, they said the Hidden Cove Apartments down the street from his place. So I put the pieces to the puzzle together. I spoke to the manager at the Hidden Cove Apartments to asked why it was towed out of their apartment they said because it had been sitting in front of a sprinkler system and on their lot for several months which oxidized my paint and ruined my paint job, the apartment manager had found out that Gonzalez Auto.. Oliverio parks his overflow cars at Hidden Cove Apartments, not his lot. He takes in more business than he can handle and forgets about your car. Once picking up my vehicle my stereo was stolen all my tools and personal belongings. I paid the tow yard $550 they tried to refuse to give me my car when all my paperwork was in order so I had to call the police on the wrecking yard to release my vehicle they were trying to hold my vehicle for one more day and charge me $50 and had bad attitudes at the tow yard but the police forced them to release my vehicle. After getting my vehicle Oliverio did not want to give me my extra set of keys so I told him that I would call the police if he did not. He gave them to me I took a loss. Once receiving my vehicle, nothing was fixed all requested was not fixed my vehicle had been sitting. Also sitting in his made up overflow lot the Hidden Cove Apartments. Oliverio does not say when he is full come back tomorrow for more space. Read This.... This guy needs to be out of business very unprofessional and disorganized and a complete lier and theif!!! Amazing service! My boyfriend and I were traveling from NY when our brakes went bad outside Salt Lake City. On a complete chance, I called Gonzalez’s in Reno and he agreed to fix our car the next day - on a Sunday when they are normally closed. The price for all four brakes was very generous and they got it done in under two hours. We had a reservation in California that night and we were able to leave with enough time to get there. Super nice people. Thank you Gonzalez’s!
