Dog Training by PJ has helped our rescued golden retriever so much. Winston has graduated from 3 obedience classes taught by Susie Jensen, and he has become a much better behaved, calm, and confident dog. As a rescue dog, he is reactive to other dogs, although he loves people. Susie did an in home consultation and gave me guidance about helping him overcome reactivity, then he started obedience classes. He loves the classes and even enjoys practicing his new skills at home. Dog Training by PJ is reward/affirmation based, and they do not use or recommend prong or shock collars. The classes are fun, relaxed, informative, and highly effective. PJs was recommended to us by our vet and I highly recommend them too.

Response: You said to me out loud that you don't train dogs when we came back from the walk. Which I clearly observed. Giving Luna treats to have her warm up to you is not a new thing, we do that with strangers all the time. Luna warms up to everyone eventually, she just barks a lot at first and that is what I need help working on. You did not help me on the walk you just walked along side us and said she is great, which I already know. She is a great dog, that's not the issue. The issue is the barking. I'm Looking for a trainer to help me train Luna, not just talk to me and give me printouts at the end of the session for $150. I stand by my review and pointed out that if people just need information about dogs they may like your services, but I did not need this info I need someone to work with my dog.

Susie came to our house to do a one on one with us regarding some issues we had with our dog. She had really great information. She is kind and very knowledgeable. I am so glad we got to meet her and get some really great tips on how to make things better for us and our dog. I am also looking forward to doing some classes in the future. I highly recommend seeking their help if you need it. You can tell Susie really cares about your pet and giving the owners the tools they need to be successful.

Our trainer Susie was patient and incredibly knowledgeable. We will most definitely be continuing our pups “education” with Dog Training by PJ.

I was very impressed with the direction we were given when we took our puppy to puppy kindergarten. Our puppy has taken to the commands very quickly. I am really confident in knowing that we are being given straight forward methods that really work. Our dog trainer, Susie, is wonderful!!! Highly recommend.

Susie is knowledgeable, patient, friendly and professional. Great price for such great training. This is NOT the place for you if you want someone to train your dog for you, however. You need to do the work with the guidance of Susie.

I love Susie and her training style a lot. I've taken two of my dogs through classes. And my reactive boy through a private. Because of her recommendations and tips, he was able to step foot into an actual class today. Hoping to see even further improvement from here.

I do not recommend this place if you are wanting to get real resultsI did not even finish out the class pack. The facility itself was not very clean and the owner is just flat out rude. I have never been to a dog training place where the owner treats people so rudely. She obviously is in this just for the money.

I went through the entire adolscent class. Meet once a week for a couple of months. They send you home with several pages of homework every week.If you do not have enough brain power to figure out how to make a dog sit with a smelly treat in your hand, then I do recommend this adolescent class. Otherwise figure something else out, because this will not solve your dog obedience issues.

Absolutely would recommend them for puppy play time and Puppy Kindergarten! My pup has learned so much and loves puppy play time. We just finished up Level 1 and I already signed her up for level 2. Susie makes it easy to understand how to train the right way and is encouraging when things get frustrating. I get compliments already on how smart little Phoebe is! Can't wait for the next level!
