I have been having some problems with the women in the office she’s new this year but how she talks to parents and the children is a big no no ! When I call and need something done don’t tell me how it’s gonna happen like you know every detail to my situation now I’ll be speaking to who runs the school. Very unprofessional to have someone like her in the front office

The teachers and staff here are all wonderful. This is our kids' third year going to Scherkenbach and we have never had a problem with anyone. The teachers are all fair and treat everyone with respect. The front office staff are amazing. They are always willing to answer any questions. The principle is involved with everything and is energetic and awesome. Over the last two years, two of our three children have had surgeries and physical therapy and we have never had an issue with doctors notes or attendance. The front office can get pretty busy at times and parents have to be patient and understanding. The only negative thing I can say about the school is the parking...it is awful.

Have had two kids go through elementary school here and couldn’t ask for a better school. It’s not prefect but it’s better then most!

If I can give a half a star I would. Where do I begin because of their complete incompetence and lack of doing their job when it comes to getting there attendance record the right. I made appointment to meet with the assistant principal to try to get the two dates that my son was there and they had marked him absent off his record and they said their hands were tied they couldn't do anything about it because it had been past three days and I try to explain why is my son paying the price of your incompetence to record the absence and the doctors notes that were handed in when My Son was absent and I brought copies of the doctors notes that I brought in and out of the seven there was only four recorded the proper way and then these two other absence showed up when my son was there... I still got no help whatsoever the only thing she said she could do For me is when he is absent or late she could call me and let me know. Wouldn't you know it a week later she called me "assistant principal" And asked me so what's going on with your son why is he absent today and sure enough he was at school and when she called me back after I guess she checked into it and realized the mistake she just made by calling me before she made sure he really wasn't there she blamed it on a system error again not owning up to the mistake. So because of these mistakes that are no big deal to the staff at that school my son has to spend Tuesday through Friday in a car 45 minutes each direction because my husband chose to move on the opposite side of town in a high-rise building off of Las Vegas Blvd. so it's a 45 minute drive each direction to and from school when I live three minutes away from the school and most of the time he has to go to before and after school program so that's even more time spent away from being with his mom and siblings and his cat he loves dearly. Even when I go in there to get information because I'm not sent any emails anymore I don't know how that's legal!!!! The way I am treated and ignored is completely discriminating.. I wrote an email to the Dr. Phil show and I got a callback that they are interested in hearing my story and what I've been through this past year and how this school/staffs mistakes set the motion for my husband to take advantage of their mistakes and run with it and my son has to pay the price!! very sad.
