Unfortunately, I need to leave a review for this particular location that I think Tokyo Discount can learn from.
My daughter and I drove over 20 minutes to this store. We typically frequent the Fort Apache location and the two women who are usually there are outstanding and very helpful. On the day we went (Sunday), a gentleman with long dark hair was behind the counter. We were there nearly 10 minute before closing, and we were aware of that and had plans to be quick.
The guy behind the register was uncomfortable so I assured him we would be quick to which he replied "I'm hopin' on it." Weirdly said and very passive aggressive. Lame.
Then, while shopping and prepared to buy a bunch of Dragon Ball figures because of Akira's Toriyama's passing, he openly cried out loud in front of all of us in the store about more customers trying to come in and shop before closing. "Noooo! why are people coming iiiin?!" It was very immature. It made other customers uncomfortable and one dad started telling his family they had to hurry up and leave. No help was offered, instead he was just making it very clear he wanted everybody gone so he could close on time and get out of there. Then, while I was telling my daughter it was time for us to bring our purchase to the front and go, he said with an incredible awkward fake smile, "I'm gonna have to ask you to wrap it uuuuuup." We were still on time and there's no way he didn't hear me tell my daughter we were leaving.
Unprofessional, immature, unhelpful, and a bad representation for the business. Either this person only cares about getting off the clock and is willing to insult customers to express that, or the company punishes employees for not closing on time. Either way, we've all been there. Give the people what they want. Especially when customers are as understanding as we were. Customers spending hard earned dollars deserve better.

store says closes at 7pm but employees lock the door before 7pm. they don’t let you in. i get that people want to leave work early, but make your hours reflect what time you close the store.

Love this store.Originally went to see what BTS items they had in stock (recommended to me) and ended up perusing all the aisles.Lots of snacks and convenience food I've not seen regularly and a wide array of kitchen gadgets, anime plushies collectibleses, household items, etc. Ended up getting more of these items than the BTS products I was visiting for.
