I do not recommend this company. A complete mess. I booked an 8-seater car, when I came to pick it up, they gave me a 7-seater car. Nothing was decided, they said, someone took your car. There are 3 other people with the same problem with me. Employees are incompetent. It is not possible to reach the customer center.

Bad service and a long wait. Booked online and arrived to the rental kiosk, their website says 24h, but they apparently close the thrifty kiosk at 1130p. There were signs redirecting to go to the dollar counter. There were 2 attendants and the line was stacked. Seems like the attendants take breaks every 10 minutes. One of the attendants closed the line to the que at 1210 and was being rude to people trying to enter. What’s going on with this place? Is it 24 hours or not? Do they uphold their reservations? Avoid them, though you’ll have to pay more for actual service

I reserved a rental several months in advance for an upcoming vacation. I later had to cancel the reservation. I was advised the pre-paid amount would be returned to my original form of payment. This has not happened. I have attempted to call Thrifty and am unable to speak to a live person as ALL numbers for them refer you back to their website to complete a manual form for a call back within 3-5 business days. Which has not happened. I have submitted 2 requests for a call back from Thrifty. I even attempted to contact Hertz, their parent company only to be faced with the same results. Save yourself the heartache and use another rental company. I picked Thrifty because they had the best deal for the rental. I should have remembered 'you get what you pay for'. In this case. POOR customer service.

In general everything was good, return went well, but pick-up, as with most car rentals, was difficult. First we had to wait 1.5 hours for the shuttle bus because there were too many people and then we had to wait around 2 hours in front of the counter , only two counters are occupied for around 40 waiting customers. When I booked online, I already entered all of my data. At the counter, my colleague now needs about 15-20 minutes per person to manually enter the same data back into the system. Optimization suggestion - there are already a lot of car rentals with key machines - you get a code online, you come to the machine, get your key and parking number and that's it, then collection takes a few minutes))

Worst experience I have ever had with a car service. We filled out the paper work ahead of time. We waited in line 3 times. Once we got the car had to wait in another line to be told we can't leave and have to return. They didn't do anything to make the situation better. Once we got it figured out they made us wait again in the line to leave. Where is the customer service. The staff was rude. I wish I would have went with another service. Now I know better, pay a little more for a smoother and quicker process.

I rented a special vehicle for a one day trip to the Grand Canyon. They were unable to check me in due to having used a virtual card # and it took several hours to resolve, they told me there was no possible way to check me in, making me miss out on my time at the destination, since we were flying out that night. Also got a crappy car in place of the convertible I ordred. Once in a lifetime event ruined. Don't use this agency. I

They made everything so quick and easy. It was my first time renting a car and I had no idea what to expect. Great experience all around. Will use them again next time!

I didn't get the backpack after returning the car. I went back to get the backpack and found that the cash inside was missing! ! ! I was very sure that the money was in my backpack, and the staff was very evasive in handling it. They gave me a business card and said they could contact me at any time, but they haven’t responded to any emails for a week now!
I have rented from two thrifty companies. Neither of them would give us the car payment we originally ordered. They would give us a better car, but at a higher price (they would say they would give a special discount). Even if they emphasized that we only need the original car payment, they would still give us a better car. Give you different upgraded car models.
I hope thrifty can deal with the missing cash issue quickly!

Worst rental car experience ever. We landed in Las Vegas and were shuttled to the Car Rental Depot. Upon arrival, we encountered a long queue waiting for an available agent. It was not the fault of the agents themselves, but the complicated and bureacratic computer checking process is slow and combersome--especially compared to all the other car rental agencies that we observed in the depot. Their customers were in and out in a fraction of the time. After nearly 1.54 hours, we were instructed to go downstairs and another agent would help us with our our. Once we got downstair, we encountered another 40-50 people waiting in line for another complex and bureaucratic process that was time consuming and unnecessarily complex. There were 5-6 agents processing paperwork. They were very courteous and polite. But the too were frustrated with the long drawn out process. What we did not see were people bringing out cars for customers. Frustrating when you can observe other customers from other rental agencies getting their cars quickly and easily. We waited at the Thrifty counter for an additional 1.5 hours before we were given an automobile. During this time, we spoke to several of the employees who told us it was always this slow--With the exception of when corporate management were present, then there are enough cars and people to make the process more efficient.
When you wait in line for 3 hours, you get to know those who are in line with you. All of them expressed how they would never ever rent from Thrifty Car Rental ever again.
The time it required to fulfill my reservation took more time than my flight from Texas to Las Vegas. Every other Car Rental Agency in the Las Vegas airport was not experiencing the same difficulties. I do not know if this symptomatic of Thrifty Car Rental but clearly the operation at the Las Vegas airport is poorly managed and operated. I will never again rent from Thrifty.

Get app to skip line yet to be in 3 long lines for over 2 hrs. Go to main counter and he has ro manually check you in then sends you outside to another long ass line to get vehicle that we reserved MONTHS AGO. This line had 25 people ahead and over 20min per person, this is bullshit.
Car was supposed to be picked up at 0945 it's now 1115 and they now put us in YET ANOTHER LINE. AVOID THRIFTY.
You owes us TIME off our rental we have yet to receive.

Was supposed to be able to just get a car without waiting in line through their online check in system. There were no cars available, so we ended up having to wait 2 hours plus on three separate lines. We never use thrifty again. AVOID at all costs.

I rented a car for a period of 9 days in September through a broker, who charged me the sum of 251 euros.
The problems were multiple, and I was finally billed +1000$:
- the prepayment of 251 euros was not taken into account (despite the fact that I had indicated it to the person in charge when picking up the vehicle), and I was billed in addition the sum of 730$.
- I was forced to upgrade when I took the vehicle, because I refused an electric model (for an additional cost of 342$). I have nevertheless explicitly requested an economical, basic vehicle, and I'm not sure if my wish has been respected in this regard.
- I was charged $51 for gasoline when I returned the vehicle, even though I had returned it with a full tank (it has since been refunded because I was able to show a photo of the tank indicator)
- I also feel that the insurance requested did not match, and that I was charged for the Premium Road Assistance (I had requested basic coverage when taking the vehicle).
I went to Thrifty to review the costs two days after returning the car, I was asked to contact the manager on an email address, who has not responded to my email for two weeks.
Until a possible resolution, I strongly advise against renting a car from this company. Otherwise, I encourage you to carefully check each upgrade, to verify that the insurance requested corresponds to the one billed, to take a picture of the gas tank, to keep your receipt, and to go to the counter when returning the vehicle to check the costs with them (the employee told me that changes could not be made after 24 hours).
