Self guided unless you pay big bucks for a personal tour guide. They give you little boxes to scan for stories along the way, but the stories themselves are hard to hear and pretty boring. The layout is small hallways that open into larger rooms. We tripped over people and waited in line the whole time. Glad I went because I was curious, but wouldn't go again.

Excellent experience at the Mob Museum. I spent most of my day there taking my time throughout the museum and enjoying the moonshine tasting in the basement.

My husband really wanted to check out the Mob museum, when we got tickets we also signed up for the crime lab and prohibition moonshine tasting. If you ask me the immersive experiences were the coolest part. I can’t remember her name, I think it was Kim in the crime lab was so much fun, it was just my husband and I and we really enjoyed our hands on experience in a crime lab with her! The moonshine tasting was super cool too, the lady running it was truly good at her job, she made it fun and informative, plus we got to taste some moonshine made right in the basement. We got a few bottles to bring home as well. The museum itself was neat, make sure you have lots of time because it’s a lot of reading! The building itself is gorgeous and neat to walk through. We were glad we made this stop!

Can only be recommended. If you don't speak English or Spanish fluently, the translator on your cell phone always helps.
But you should plan time, as there is a lot to read.
We were in the museum for 3 hours and unfortunately didn't read everything, but that's a reason to come back. The 38 dollars are well spent

If you are a history buff, you MUST visit! I was amazed at the detail of the presentations. They have all kinds of interactive multimedia exhibits, and the mockups were great. Not to mention, the actual artifacts in the museum. One great thing about it that I didn't know is that many of the "events" I learned about actually happened in this exact building. So, the building itself IS an exhibit!

I love this place! Super cool!
The first time I went, it was during the week, and there were like maybe 100 people while we were there. I had enough time to read everything and look at everything. The 2nd time I went was on a weekend, and it was PACKED. There were so many people. But there was also a huge festival going on so that didn't help!
It's still an amazing place! Lots of cool history! There is a guy there I'm pretty sure on most days. Frank Calabrese Jr. He and his family were a part of the Mob. So sometimes, if you time it just right, you can hear his story from him. If you miss it you can buy his book.
10 out 10 would recommend.

Jim was great at our private tour. Thanks Jim! Loved the museum and all the extras! The speakeasy was really neat too. The food was really good as well as the drink.

The foundation of Vegas and its reputation starts here.
The history behind the mob/mafia and its expansion west, honing in on prohibition and gaming and other “activities” set the stage for Vegas to turn into what we know it as today.
Crime rings, families, and working to be “made” was what it was all about.
While the law and politics have caught up over the years (at least in part, right?), this piece of history is something cool to experience up close and personal.
At $30+ a person, it’s a commitment. However, with 3 levels, a speakeasy, and - in our case - a guest speaker, the price felt right and we enjoyed it.
I’m sure we’d go back should we head back to Vegas with new friends or family.

My experience at the Museum and secret Speakeasy were amazing. But I do want to give a shout out to some of the staff. The bartender (with the awesome mustache) and managers , Linkey and David Edis. I had an issue with an extra charge on my card from a simple mistake and error on my part . Not only did they fix the problem but they went above and beyond with their customer service. Well beyond what was expected and far beyond the normal in today's business world. This was my second visit to the establishment and we surely will return. Highly recommended 5*

Spent $70 to go in and were done in 25 mins. There were so many people on each floor the 25 mins was just pushing to get out of the areas. Waste of money unless the regulate the amount of people per every 15mins to half an hour.

The Mob Museum was great.
Security was present outside.
Definitely go early if you can. It says 1 - 3 hours, we went with around 2 hours left in the day and had to skip some videos.
It's a historical building itself which hosted some mob trials, which you'll see on floor 1 or 2.
You start on Floor 3 and work your way down (they have elevators).
A lot of informative stuff. History, guns, memorabilia. They even have the real Bloody Sunday wall with the bullet holes and blood stains.
Then the speakeasy bar was cool too. Didn't get a drink, but some good stuff there.
