I just wanted to relay how disappointed and upset we are the treatment by your Staff. I called weeks ago to make an Avian appointment only to find out the day of the appointment and within a hour of leaving for the appointment that you were cancelling because YOU made the appointment with a doctor that didn't do "birds." and the doc that did ....was not coming in that day. We rescheduled for the following Saturday with Dr Read. We arrived and after sitting there for 15 minutes and hearing the front desk call her to the front for our appointment, and also after her assistant came out to tell us she would be assisting with the nail and wing clip, and asking a few questions about what our bird was having done ...she excused herself " to go get something in the back.." She returns a couple minutes later to tell us that once again you were cancelling our appointment. She said the doctor had an Emergency surgery. Seeing as this was our second appointment and other doctors were there who do NOT treat Avian patients ..........I don't understand the cancellation as surely another doc could have handled the emergency to accommodate our 15 minute appointment.. We weren't told how long the emergency might last or asked even if we could wait. The tech said maybe we could come back late in the afternoon or come back another day. We drive 20 minutes each way and our inconvenience didn't seem to matter. Asking to reschedule after you have cancelled twice? It appears Dr Read did not want to treat our bird for whatever reason didn't care to tell us herself or make any attempt to accommodate us or even deal with the issue. After reading the other very unsatisfactory reviews from other Avian Bird owners ...it seems like this is not a very compassionate or experienced hospital to treat your birds. I have heard many unflattering things about this hospital in the past year.but none that I have personally experience until now. Many vets have left the practice and there have been other numerous issues since the Staffing changes. . I was there about 18 months ago and this place is not the same Sunridge Hospital or Staff. I too cannot recommend this hospital to treat your birds or other pets.

Never have I experienced such unprofessionalism from the supposed “Doctor” Rosa. She was the most rude human being I’ve ever interacted with and only cares to grab you by the ankles and shake the money out of your pockets. It’s unfortunate that you take your pets to her when all she is is a money grab. Shame on you Rosa and humble yourself. Maybe you’ll have better reviews then.

Wonderful office with great doctors and staff. They have helped me and my brother with our lizards, and we couldn't be happier.

My sister recommended this place to do a value of life check for my dog. They were great and could easily see they put themselves in our position and gave options. They help me make my decision with love and not financial gain. They made saying goodbye to my best friend, my dog, and my savior Rayne a respectful loving experience.
Thank you with all my heart,
Chris

My dog Ahri was such a perfect doggy for me & my wife for the last 11 years. We were long-haul truck drivers for much of that time & she got to see 48 states with us. She was with us for so many hikes/walks in some of the most beautiful places in the country. She loved seeing new places so much, & would get so excited every time she got to play in snow. She was so friendly with everyone, especially little kids. Everywhere we went, people loved to give her pets & take pictures with her.
She got sick earlier this year, & we found out she had liver cancer that had spread a lot already. Dr Rosa helped us try to find a solution, but after seeing an oncologist, we had to come to terms with it being near the end. Dr Rosa helped us make her comfortable for the last few months we had. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, but we scheduled a euthanasia at Sunridge. They were so kind & respectful with the whole process. The room we put her to sleep in was comfortable & private. I just picked up her ashes, & was crying too hard to get a word out, but they knew why I was there & brought her to me despite the state I was in.
My wife & I are so grateful to the staff at Sunridge for helping us with this extremely painful process. The last few months I got with Ahri were worth the world to me. I truly appreciate them for everything they did for us & our beautiful girl.

I brought my cockatiel to this hospital when she became sick and started having respiratory problems. It was my first time visiting this hospital, but despite receiving treatment, she passed away the following day. The treatment was supposed to provide some relief for her pain, but instead, my baby suffered. She writhed in her carrier as I brought her home and eventually passed away in my bathroom in the middle of the night as I waited for her to pass. I prayed to God to ease her suffering and help her pass peacefully. I tried everything I could, but I just couldn't save her. I called this hospital multiple times, but didn't receive a call back until weeks later. I expected them to be more responsive when a loved one passes away, but that wasn't the case. I felt the staff members and the manager didn't take my issue seriously, given the number of times I had to call and receptionists robotic communication with me, as if she were reading from a script. Not to mention, the manager or whoever I spoke with who acted so care free and nonchalant about it. This experience has caused me a lot of suffering and has filled my heart with hate and mistrust. I do not recommend bringing any birds to this hospital.
On the positive side this traumatizing experience forced me to solace in God so thank you for that.

My Nana and I've been coming to Sunridge Animal Hospital for years. They serve our cats and dogs superbly, AND they've been excellent for my frog as well. They're boarding him right now and they've always treated both him and me with the upmost kindness. They field me with care even when I get emotional and that's really just the word I feel encompasses the staff: caring. Caring and knowledgeable.

They see exotics and chicken ! I am so waiting for chicken pet insurance to become a thing; exotics (birds, rabbits, small animals) are excluded from any pet insurance . Dogs and cats only . Did you know that ?

Absolutely do not recommend sunridge. We brought our shepherd here 4 months ago for a full work up and she was given a clean bill of health besides incontinence which she takes Proin for. We called multiple times over the last week because her Proin has stopped working and she’s having accidents. Not only did they NOT call us back until we called a third time but when they did they insisted on coming back for another work up and appointment instead of just giving us an alternative medication for incontinence. She had bloodwork less than 4 months ago- she’s been on Proin for years so it’s safe to say we just needed an alternative as she’s become accustomed to it. Just another way to make more money off people instead of helping. Meanwhile we are left with an incontinent dog covered in urine because we don’t have another $500 to shell out for unnecessary bloodwork. Ridiculous!

Not many places will take injured strays, let alone pigeons, but they were absolutely wonderful. You can tell the staff care about animals-which should be obvious-but you’d be surprised how many do not.

We made the drive all the way from St. George, Utah just to see them even though they don’t specialize in exotic animal's completely they care about exotics way more than any vet in St. George “claims to” dr. Reid knew that certain antibiotics kill guinea pigs as well as the dosage and they gave us the right antibiotics as well as the dosage for her weight she was a little on the low side so they also gave us a little tester of critical care to get her weight up because my pig didn’t like the other brand, they answered every question in detail and handled my piggy so well Dr. Rebecca Reid was very knowledgeable and caring I would definitely recommend, And make the two hour drive again just to see them!

We brought a cat in for a general check up and blood draw...a cat that has a "feisty" personality at the vet. We warned them about teeth and claws and prior experiences at other vets. They took him in and a little while later, brought him out; he had been treated apparently without incident. He was not hissing and seemed quite calm. BRAVO. They took the time to mellow out a usually very challenging cat patient!!

It is important that a veterinary clinic not only treat your beloved pets, but they work with the client and do all they can to keep it affordable. Unfortunately, I needed a simple refill for eyes drops but they demanded an office visit which was totally unnecessary. I had already spent hundreds for eye tests and the drops they had previously prescribed me were working on a second infection but I was almost out. After 5 days of back and forth explaining that I couldn’t afford another office visit, they left me high and dry. Shame on them. The all mighty $75+ dollars cost them 2 patients. The person I spoke to was rude and told me not to talk over her. The client should matter because me deserve compassion and consideration. After all, we are the reason they keep their doors open. I hope they learn from this.

I cannot thank the amazing staff at Sunridge Animal Hospital enough. A beautiful wild bird flew into our window and we didn't know what to do. The incredible team at Sunridge was willing to take the little guy and care for him. There are no bird rehabbers in Las Vegas, so it was just the kindness of a vet staff to make sure this sweet guy got a chance and didn't suffer. Character is shown in the actions one takes when they don't believe they're being watched or paid. The team at Sunridge has character. They are TRUE animal lovers and I would trust them for anything. Thank you Sunridge team!
