“I went to United Federal Credit Union for the first time to join and open a CD.Krystina Durman was absolutely fabulous! She is so professional yet warm and friendly… since it was going to be a trust account there were many things that I had to bring with me and she made the process very easy.I couldn’t ask for a better experience and I look forward to working with her again.Everyone there was so helpful and accommodating and the building is just beautiful.”

“We had the most pleasant experience while working with Sierra on a HELOC. She went above and beyond expectations and truly worked a miracle. We will be returning to refinance our auto loan, and I will definitely recommend her to everyone I know who may be looking for a loan. If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would.”

“On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, I went to the Greater Nevada Credit Union branch located in Carson High School on N. Saliman Road. In order to use this branch, unless you are a student or staff member there, you first must check in to the high school office in the front of the building, towards the right as you enter. You also must realize this branch is only open during school hours, since it is primarily for the high school staff and students. So they close early, and are also closed during school breaks. There is no drive-thru. I am not too sure about the parking, since I parked in one of the few handicapped spots in front on the main access road by the high school lobby, but I think there are other spaces for parallel parking for short-term visitors. You then have to walk up the walkway and go into the high school office on the front right hand side, rather than through the main entrance doors. It is a little longer walk than for most banks or credit unions, but walking is good. So after you check in at the office, you walk down the hallway into the school and then turn right into the first hallway that intersects. Then the credit union is at the end of that hallway, on the right. It is small branch. There were two or three student tellers there. They were talking and not paying attention. The adult bank employee at the sole desk on the right had to tell them to stop goofing off. The adult employee then offered to help me since I was not a student there I guess. I sat down at her desk and she processed the three deposits I had. She was very nice and professional. The only minor complaint I had was the deposit receipts printed out very lightly, which made it hard for me to scan them at home. Otherwise, I was very happy. This branch is convenient to me, so I will use it in the future when they are open and take pictures then. ------------------- UPDATE 2/8/2019: 5 stars On Friday, February 8, 2019 I went to this location again. There were four handicapped parking spots right in fron of the building, two of which were occupied. On the other side of the access road, there were multiple parallel parking spots on the yellow curb, limited to 25 minutes. The only problem was it was hard to see the yellow curb since it was covered by snow. Checking in at the high school office was quick and easy, as there was no line this time. The office employee asked me if I knew where the credit union was, and I said yes. She then buzzed me into the high school hallway. Then, at the credit union branch office, there were two student tellers. I went to one, ad the adult employee got up and helped him process my deposit. She was very nice and we made small talk. I was happy both students acted maturely. I then sat down briefly to check in to Yelp and then left.”

“Great bank with great employees! Kara and Malou are the best! Have been banking with them for over 10 years and started at the Tahoe Branch. When I moved to the Valley, I was so fortunate that they opened a branch with some of the "tahoe gals" here. They are always very helpful and friendly! Never long lines, and very efficient! They rock!!”

“This south Carson Branch is my main go to branch for banking services. They have safety deposit boxes here as well. On line banking works well, but sometimes you just gotta go to the bank in person, like when someone writes you a check instead of using the Zelle features of online money transfer to individuals. You know what I like about Nevada State Bank? They have more than one location in town and they have friendly tellers and there no waiting! Try that at Bank of America with just one branch in town that has long ass lines all the time! These people recognize me when I come in and know me by name. I cash checks, make deposits with out filling out the deposit slip (they gladly do that for me). I see this as banking local and it shows in the service level.”

“I used the ATM today. They just upgraded the machine. It was very interesting-I did not hate it. It did take me a bit longer to figure things out. I am sad I left my phone in the car and wasn't able to take a picture of the new machine for y'all. I did 2 different different transactions. I did the 1st one the traditional way-by putting my card in the machine, which was fine, I just wish at the end of the transaction it would've popped my card out a bit to show me I was good to take my card instead of just saying on the screen "please take your card" with no movement of the card in the card reader. With my second transaction, I tried the tap reader for my card, but I couldn't get it to work so I ended up having to use the first method again. I'm not sure if it didn't work because of user error or because of the glare from the sun. I do have to say I like the upgraded machine, but it did take me a second to figure it out.”

“My husband and I just moved here from California. We had to make an appointment a few weeks ago because Of COVID-19 to go in for a wire transfer. On the phone and in person, they were super nice and accommodating. And then today, because I needed checks for my account for utilities services, I called ahead and Judi once again helped me. She is honestly the nicest branch manager I have ever met at any bank. She changed my address for me in the system, had great conversation, and then wrote a welcoming note for me when I picked the checks up. This is not something that you are required to do, yet she wanted my husband and myself to be welcomed to the area, especially at a time when human connection is lacking. I even knew the previous branch manager in California before I started banking with Bank of the West and she never would have been so welcoming and thoughtful. Thanks for making this our #1 bank to go to!!”

“Due to a mix-up through online banking, my debit card was deleted. The main U.S. Bank line was no help, but gave me this branch number to see if they could help. With 12 minutes until they closed, my new card was ordered (already have my confirmation) and is being rushed to me. Thank you from 2,500 miles away, you have incredible staff! They are well trained, fast, and amazingly kind!! Thank you again!”

“I am a new customer with GNCU. Recently I went into the branch to gather some information on transfer limits, holds, etc. Joy and Edith were wonderful to work with and extremely helpful. I needed a letter from the bank and they provided it to me within minutes. They both have upbeat, professional, and positive demeanors. I’m beyond pleased with my decision to have joined GNCU.”

“I have been banking at BofW for 2 years at the Sparks Branch. Their employees are exemplary. Their manager, Artis Johnson, has made my banking experiences easy and understandable. He is knowledgeable and patient and kind. The tellers are sweet and eager to be the most helpful they can be. Sounds silly all about a bank I guess but they're that good!”

“The typical bank transaction of cashing a check was a surprise. I was advised by the bank teller that they could no longer just cash my checks! They told me that the check must be deposited unless I have the funds to cover the check. For many years I have been able to simply cash my check and not deposit it into my account. This must be a way for the IRS and the government to know what funds you have. Big Brother is watching!”

“My husband and I opened an account with them after the have us our loans for our vehicles. We left a credit union that didn't care about their members. This AFCU is amazing. They make you feel like you actually matter and they listen and try to help anyway they can. The only downside is side is that their ATMs need to be updated. They are very slow and has a hard time make deposits.”

“This Wells Fargo branch has recently returned to full service banking. This occurred early this year of 2022. I was in there today on June 1, 2022 for several types of work. There were four tellers available on the inside plus drive-thru tellers and one manager. There were at least two bankers available. Quite a positive change. My experience in general with Wells Fargo Bank is their customer service is high quality. I like the multi-state availability of services in ATMs. I not infrequently have issues with corporate level decisions on services and other stuff. But what are you going to do beyond my pay grade.”

“Lisa Seifert is a 5-star personal banker. She welcomes customers with a smile;listens to her customer and has a happy demeanor. As we talked she told me how much she loves her position at Wells Fargo. She handled my concerns professionally and efficiently ...if the bank is busy and you have to wait for a bank officer....she is definitely worth the wait. Wells should be delighted to have Lisa providing professional service to their customers.”

“I’ve always had a good experience at this branch. I don’t expect too much from going to the bank but it has never been sub par. I’m not sure what all the bad reviews are about.”
