Received a cardiac calcium scan at Bryan East hospital. Went through Admissions and into the scan area. In and out in 35 minutes. Both volunteers and staff accompanied me through the process. Results in 3 hours via the Bryan Patient Portal.

Terrible place. Sent us a $4,000 bill from when we had our daughter 4 YEARS AGO. This bill was NEVER on MyChart and they almost sent it to collections. The initial bills were all screwed up too like they weren't communicating with our insurance. We will never use this shady hospital AGAIN. Healthcare is a joke anymore. People at Bryan, pat yourselves on the back for being worthless greedy human beings.

went in with shortness of breath that i’ve been having problems with since november but have gradually got worse in the past couple of weeks, i am pregnant and know that it could be the reason and it has gotten pretty bad that i haven’t been able to sleep at all during the night. they were pretty busy so we had to wait 2 hours before anyone saw me, but that’s not my problem it’s that when they saw me the doctor asked me what was wrong and i had explained it to him and he had asked if i’ve went to my ob about it and i said that i hadn’t bc the problems had just started getting bad and he just looked at me like i was dumb and asked why i hadn’t and i told him i talked to my ob about it and they said that i could wait until my appointment or go in and get a check up if it gets worse. He really didn’t say too much other than that they’d run some tests and put an IV line in (which was there for no reason) and then they came in and took an xray then we waited for about an hour to an hour and a half which is normal but nobody came in and talked to me, the lady just came in with discharge papers and discharged me so i don’t even know what really was going on, felt like i was there forever for no reason when i could’ve went to a different hospital that actually helped in any type of way. I have no idea what it was and it seemed like nobody actually listened to me or wanted to communicate with me.

Brian East is a very courteous hospital who treat you with the utmost respect and is always on your side. Definitely a place to go when you're not feeling well. But nobody really wants to come back but if you do this is the place thank you

The doctor that I saw to treat my sprained ankle tried to administer fentanyl as a “narcotic pain reliever” while was being treated. This was after no one asked about my or my family’s history with addiction or if I am currently on any recreational or prescription drugs. The fact that it was so casual for them to attempt to administer fentanyl was honestly disgusting. I’ve heard too many stories of people getting fentanyl as a pain reliever at a hospital and immediately becoming addicted to allow anyone to ever give me fentanyl. Don’t hesitate to ask your doctors what “medications” they’re giving you because apparently, it can sometimes be an extremely addictive drug. Will not be returning to this hospital.

Absolutely horrendous experience at Bryan East ER. My daughter is disabled and her neurosurgery team told me to immediately take her to the ER due to extensive pain from a headache/migraine that was untouched by her migraine meds and over the counter pain meds. The pain was shooting through different areas of her head and extremely concerning. She couldn’t even walk in and I had to wheel her myself and then leave her while I parked my car because no one could help. She was clearly in a lot of pain and not okay. The staff appeared to not care. The guy at the check in desk was rude and dismissive. He also asked my 8-year-old to verify her information while she wasn’t even functioning with blurred vision. We were placed in a hallway-type “room” with bright lights blaring on her while she was crying how bad everything hurt, including the lights. The people next to us were also exceedingly loud which increased her pain.It took at least 40-60 minutes before even seeing a nurse even though my daughter’s pain was a 9/10 and she was visually not okay. It took TWO HOURS before a “doctor” even showed up. She was given NOTHING to help until we were getting ready to leave and her neurosurgery team told them what to give her. She was unhooked from any monitoring after initial vitals and given no attention until discharging. No one asked her her pain or talked to her. She was completely dismissed as a human and she’s only 8-years old. You would think they would treat children better. Instead, my daughter’s worst fear was true and that was that they “don’t listen” and “don’t care.” Next time I will make the drive to Children’s Hospital because this would’ve never happened there. I don’t like CHI and typically prefer Bryan, but I know CHI would’ve at least put her in a quiet room in their pediatric wing and talked to her. Still in disbelief over the “care” she received (as was her entire neuro team who brought her in next day to see her and actually do something).

We had a great experience in the specialty clinic as well as the ED. The nurses are exceptional and were very patient and kind while explaining the procedures to us. The ED was very busy yet the nurse and provider took great care of my husband and made sure to take the time to actually listen to us before explaining how they would treat him. Thank you Bryan Staff for taking care of my husband and getting him feeling better.

My loved one became quite ill while on a ventilator at this hospital due to an avoidable bacteria found in ventilators and humidifiers. Of course, the hospital says it came from a humidifier, not likely. Other than that, this hospital has poor communication with family compared to Bryan West, there is rarely a shift to shift report in patients room explaining the situation and making introduction like they do faithfully at West. We were glad to get out of there and it's been that way every time through long illness with another loved one.

The nurse was rude in the ER and in a hurry to get me out of there even though I could not walk or stand up straight. The doctor that saw me was about the same. Not happy at all with Bryan East ER at all!

Exceptional staff!! The NP we saw had a unique ability to keep all of us calm in a very difficult and painful situation! He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to care for my daughter when she was in a tremendous amount of pain! He was gentle and informative and gave us such personalized care. Our nurse made sure my daughter was as comfortable as she could be given the pain she was in. If I could have this care team as our primary providers, I would in a heartbeat!!

Some staff great, others not so good. Tried calling nurses desk directly 5 different times. Never got an answer. Huge lack of communication between caregivers and immediate contact for the paient. Hospital to hospital contact not good either.Dad's care was not good. Swabs, water never changed. Nurse never communicated discharge, how procedure went or once called to update until asked. Would not recommend. Physicians were great!
