When I first went to shelter many years ago; there were many times I did not need the insurance so I called and simply cancelled the insurance. Then as I needed insurance I would go back. Recently fast-forwarding I had not had a vehicle for a while! But now that I did I called shelters 1800 # got a quote over the weekend and called the shelter office only to be told by Dennis and Ann that they did not want my business; it was not up to the representative from their 1800 number for shelter and they did not want my business...
I went to another company immediately and am very happy with the customer service and price quote.
And finally I can enjoy and drive my new vehicle...
Life goes on....
But rude behavior's customer service and non existent ethics are some things about the Shelter insurance company are things I will not forget...

I've paid this air breather for over 20 years. I was hit by a driver, I have FULL COVERAGE with 24 hour roadside assistance so I called my agent for assistance and was told I needed to call for my own tow truck, pay for it myself, I had to call the other drivers agent, open my own claim, litigate my own settlement and then was threatened with getting dropped because I had the nerve to call back and ask exactly what I was paying him for. My wife and I have had Dennis Malloy as our insurance agent for about 8 years and my wife a total of 12 years and I cannot recommend him enough. Dennis and his team have always taken care of us for our insurance needs and in the event that we have needed to file claims wether it was for auto or home issues. When we call we aren’t greeted just as another number they actually know who you are and your family. If you are on the fence about your insurance or looking for new insurance call you won’t regret it!
