The worst customer service ever. They promise a delivery date and then they don't deliver. We are literally left in the cold and no one cares even though its their fault. Ever since they out sourced a couple of years ago everything has gone downhill. This used to be run locally and you could get a live local person and they followed through on their word. So frustrating .... DON'T GO WITH AMERIGAS

My mother is supposed to be on an automatic delivery. Friday afternoon she ran out of fuel. She contacted the company and was told they ordered delivery. Then she found out that it could be up to 7 days for delivery. We then contacted the emergency number, with the same result. So my 81 year old mother has no heat or stove/ oven until next week. I understand that this is a holiday weekend. I believe people need time off. However, with temperatures below zero, and this is the fault of the company, not the customer, this is not ok. Merry frigid Christmas.

We placed a delivery order over 3 weeks ago. We were given a delivery date for a week later that came and went with no propane. Have called 3 more times, definitely to call center far, far away, each time told we were on emergency priority delivery status, and yet NO propane. So infuriating we cannot talk to someone local! We live in a small town. At 40% when first called, now down to close to 20%. We're in Montana, it's cold.

I scheduled a delivery to a rental property on November 3rd. By November 10th they still had not delivered. I called customer service and got the run around, saying they had no way of contacting the local Amerigas vendor to see what was going on. Spoke to another customer service agent who told me they had 7 days to get the delivery completed, which they were not able to do. Plus I found out they were charging me over $1 more a gallon than other local vendors. I cancelled the delivery and they did not credit my credit card almost $2k. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card to get my money back. AmeriGas operates on borderline deceptive business practices. I will never use them again. Use CityServiceValcon, you won't regret it.

If I could give negative stars I would! Terrible service! Ridiculous to wait this long for a delivery. Highly recommend you go elsewhere for propane.

I can only blame myself as I am the one who placed the order with them.

Getting 1 star because NO stars is NOT an option. I have called and asked for summer rates, like every other propane company out there gives. NOT Amerigas, they are more than $1 per gallon higher than other companies in my area. I have asked to buy my tanks for 3 years and have been denied every year. I have asked to speak to a manager numerous times, and have been hung up on every time. This company has no idea what customer service is. At this point I have an entire neighborhood of people willing to cancel service with Amerigas if we can't reach a resolution with the pricing. YET customer service doesn't care, there is NO intent or action to try and keep current customers. If you are a new customer looking for service...you WILL NOT find it with Amerigas. Literally ANY other company can help you better.

I call many propane companies to get prices every time I need a fill-up. I dread calling Amerigas because I am guaranteed to be on hold for 20-30 minutes and then deal with a customer care person who does not even know what propane is. One time about three years ago, Amerigas was cheaper than their competition and I had them fill my tank. It took them about a week or longer to finally show up.

Delivery is very slow, they will always tell you it's on it's way, but it never arrives. They tell you 7 days for delivery, the first time it took 15, this time I am at day 12 and still nothing....

Horrible service, want to speak to someone local who can speak English, Closed our account and going local. Nothing against the local staff, just tired of the call center run around and never getting the schedule delivery as promised.

Their customer service is horrific. It is incomprehensible how absolutely amazingly terrible they manage their accounts. They delivered to a different house and billed me for the delivery, two months latter and they still have not gotten it sorted out. IDK maybe go back to burning wood. Follow up: they no longer offer walk in customer service in Kalispell.3 months later... my account shows that I have $232 dollars in it but Amerigas just randomly sends out a bill for $560 or something. How can you be a national company have have such a terrible accounting system?

As stated on other reviews horrible customer service. There 4 star review is clearly paid for, highly suggest saving yourself from dealing with them by looking for alternative propane company

Please don't go this route if you want Great Customer Service and Best Price. First, our ranch is located in Montana and the average price for propane around here is around $2.30 a gallon if you call around. We were being charged around $4.00 per gallon! Second, if you call Amerigas (even if it looks like a local number) it gets rerouted to a national call center and you aren't working with local people. They have no idea really how low your tank is in the winter and they can't get someone out to you immediately if the tank is empty. Their system approximates what they think is in your tank and their drivers come routinely to fill but you will have no local people to work with to call to come out in an emergency. Some of their so called "customer advocates" know what they are talking about and others seem like they aren't sure about the propane business. We went with a local company and have local numbers we can call. It is better to actually get a hold of someone who can come fill your tank fast if needed and our new company monitors the tank levels more accurately. It feels really good to also save a LOT on fills. We have over 5 big tanks here and the total savings is amazing since we switched over to a local company that works with us.

It would be nice to speak to someone in USA when ordering propane. The last two orders I have experienced a language barrier with being understood on both ends of the line especially when giving specific directions to our property. I miss being able to speak with someone at our local office.

Horrendous service! Bought a house with a propane tank where it wasn’t clear whether the tank belonged to the owner or was rented. AmeriGas had no record or proof that they owned the tank, however still sent someone to my house to recover the tank in the middle of winter!! Luckily I was home and was able to beg the man to leave the tank so we wouldn’t be left without heat. Finally was able to arrange to purchase the tank, over a year ago now and I and still haven’t received a bill of sale or any kind of documentation that I now own the tank even though I have requested it multiple times. Oh, and I didn’t even mention their customer service is trash, good luck trying to get ahold of anyone over the phone. Multiple 30min+ calls of being on hold then disconnected. Save yourself pain and just call CityServiceValcon for your propane needs.
