I retired from a job involving a lot of written communication, and I needed a printer for my home "office." I went to Staples in Helena. Entering the store, I think there were two employees chatting with each other near a counter in the front. I found my own way to printers, and looked...and looked...and looked. It was comical how alone I felt out there. I was the only customer and the employees actually disappeared. They hid--I'm certain of it. Oh well, I was able to spend a lot of uninterrupted time comparing various brands, features and pricing. And then I went home and ordered a printer from Amazon. Not cool, I know, unless the "local" merchant won't even talk to you.

Reggie was really helpful. I’ll definitely be returning to this store any time I need some help with a computer.

I rarely visit office supply stores but this place in particular was terrible! The ink cartridges for printers were no where near the printers. The employee that eventually helped me looked like she was on crack. Furthermore, when asking what type cartridges I needed, she asked her phone. Uummm, I could have done that. Why are there? Never again will I give my money to that place and either should you.

This is regarding the website and not the helena store directly. I purchased a laptop from staples.com on September 29th and was double charged. The first time I called they said it was my bank and should be 5-7 business days; it's not my bank it's clearly listed as staples.com. The second phone call on the 9th this time she could see that it was staples.com but again I was told 5 to 7 more business days. I did not budget for an extra months worth of rent to be missing from my account without any authorization or warning and it still has not been returned 19 days later. I'm not impressed.

Horrible customer service. Will never go into this store again. The chair I wanted was display model only. I don't live here so I didnt want to order. I asked if I could just buy the display model. They said said yes but they would charge me 15.00 more because they put it together. SERIOUSLY???

Just want to say how wonderful Lisa and Reggie were to me when I went in with a computer photo problem. Lisa was called away for another customer and said Reggie will get this done. She was right. He was so kind and explained everything he was doing so I would know how to do it. Thank you so much.

I waited until the issue was resolved to write a review. I am normally not one to ever write a review nor the type to even send my food back if I find something in it. I work in customer service and am aware of how hard it can be at times. However, I also know how great it can be and how far an apology can really go and really mean. For example, even though I hit many frustrations with my computer buying experience, I apologize to Mary if in fact she did install what she had said. At the end of the day, the ladies ARE very kind. From my now understanding is that miscommunication led to a lot of frustrations. I moved to Helena a week ago and needed a laptop right away because my MacBook screen had went out. I wanted to fix my MacBook because it still works, however my mom wanted to purchase a laptop as a congrats gift for school. Long story short I just wasn't communicated with and went through some funky inconveniences that annoyed me. The computer ended up freezing on me completely and had a very minor scratch and wouldn't be a big deal but for being brand new...? Anyway, I did respond in a survey hoping to hear back to rectify the situation and I didn't and I know I had to annoy them and not let it go and in the end, Lisa was able to come up with a solution so I did not have to return the computer but instead she was able to exchange it out for me and give my mother a returned credit. Although I would have appreciated a simple "hey, I'm really sorry for the inconvenience" because I do understand things happen and I understand things are out of our control and the customer is not always right, however I believe more in the approach of lets work together to compromise rather than to ignore. I rather turn a negative experience into a positive one, like with this yelp. I could have just stuck with the bad but I wanted to highlight that even though I hounded they did make the effort to make me happy and were not rude about it. At least not to my face, but we all know how that goes :) Hope to only have positive experiences from now on since I do have the tech protection. ;)

I got very good help in several departments during my recent visit. Several team members asked if I was finding what I was looking for; one opened a package and let me compare my cell phone to the recharge cord end that I was considering , then recommended alternatives; one was sent out to carry in a monitor that I needed to discard; and the printing service staff was very contentious with a very small project that I brought in. The cashier also showed me the item that I inquired about, which I purchased. I felt very well-assisted during my visit.
