From out of town and had a flat on the highway. We found our way to Harris Auto. They worked us in the busy schedule, fixed the issue and we were back on the road quickly.

Excellent service at a fair price (exactly as quoted). Everyone was courteous and professional. I expected to need an alignment but they did check and all was good. Did t try to sell me anything extra. Great experience! I’ll be back!

Harris is always a great place to go for everything Automotive! They make sure you understand what needs to be fixed without breaking the bank. Their schedule does fill up quickly, but it is worth the wait!

I just brought my car here to have it fixed. The mark up on prices is outrageous to say the least.
I thought they were a decently priced shop after they replaced my alternator for a reasonable price about 3-4 month ago.
However, they are not-to fix my brakes, tire rod end & wheel bearing assembly they wanted $1600 including alignment.
I will tell you my regular mechanic quoted me prices for this and said for 1200 he would rebuild my entire front driver side.
His quote for the items listed above tire rod end 250, brakes 360, wheel bearing assembly including lower control arm 280. Perhaps that is because his price reflects that he is already in this area doing maintenance & cost reflects as well as his mark up on parts.
For the price difference I can pay the 900$ tow bill & still come off cheaper.
I use 11 th street garage in Springfield Illinois. So if you are looking for a great & fair mechanic go there instead. Never again-will I go any where else!

Not just bleeding brakes. His parts also come with the warranty that the auto parts that are Napa auto parts come with & he stands behind them.
So if there is an issue in the time of warranty he replaces them.
He just doesn’t add his own extra mark up for the warranty! Bc he runs a good honest shop that is affordable for all people even mom & pop!

Harris is always open and honest about what repair you need, in detail, and quote price and when appropriate options. Been a customer for 8 years and never been disappointed with results.

Mis-diagnosed my vehicle, lied to me in an attempt to cover it up, still charged me 800 bucks. The workmanship was lousy as I found clips and screws for my air cleaner box around under the hood. If they did it to me they'll have no problem doing it to you. I'd leave negative stars if I could.

Harris Auto gave a fair estimate under what the dealership and national chains wanted (replacing a catalytic converter). I appreciate their easy online quote/estimate request system. They did excellent work in an efficient manner and were true to their estimate. I would definitely go back for future repairs.

I used to be an Automotive Service Advisor for a Chrysler dealer for 12 years and am very versed in customer service. This shop is actually an honest shop and knows how to make money via customer service retention and not by sky rocketing prices. Is simply how they’ve been in business for so long. Outstanding mechanics as well.

Very professional and courteous. We brought our car in after it broke down on the highway. They did a full diagnostic testing and even drove our car around trying to recreate the issue. They could not find anything wrong, which was a great relief to us. They certainly could have charged us for the diagnostic test and their technicians time which we appreciated. But they told us there was no charge. Nobody does that anymore but they did and we are grateful. I highly recommend them to anyone with an issue. They are honest and trustworthy.
