“My daughter is in this school and I have really noticed how her education has improved in all aspects, the teachers are very polite and very kind, I am very satisfied ?.”
“What a beautiful Christmas light show they put on!!!!! Hands down my favorite Christmas lights show I've ever seen and I've seen a lot over the years. 5 stars!!!!! ??⛄❄️????”
“I love this church. The minister is the best I ever heard. The congregation like family. This church preaches the word. The word of God. Every Sunday we have a pot luck meal. The meal is awesome. The fellowship amazing. Come see us,we grow every week. Lots and lots of children, babies and they are so well behaved. We had baby to 12yrs old dedications yesterday. Also do Baptisms. Very much family oriented.”
“There's nothing like seeing children praise the Lord it is our future as a nation without our churches and our faith we are lost who knows to Immaculate Conception they do a wonderful job!”
“I want to thank members of the Men's ACTS team for being so welcoming and supportive of my participation in St. Joseph's ACTS. Although I live across the Mississippi River in Collinsville I have felt a part of this parish family since I was recruited for the ACTS retreat in 2019 and again this year. Thank you all so much!”
“Here only for the fish fry. They’re ranked number 1 for a reason: they have the order process, lines and so forth all down to a science. You can pay with cash or credit. 2023 season they had quite a few choices for your main meat choice (3 kinds of fish, shrimp, etc). The sides are all great. I recommend the Mac n cheese. Dessert is included and the selections vary but tend to include some awesome selections.”
“A friend was trying to convince me to have faith the other day. I was absolutley sure it was impossible that ive seen to much to disprove his existence. Then she said Not to sound any way except sincere, you've met me... But you should give Jesus a try ? what do you have to lose? If you were to pray and ask hlHim to reveal himself to you, He will. He literally died (not wanting to) for us before we were a thought. Cry out, scream, cuss him, ask questions, whatever He'll accept it! So i was having a bad day i decided to try it. I prayed for him to reveal himself. The next day my father kivked me out of his truck. 15 miles from home. My mom who is now separayed from him wouldnt come get me. I walked for an hour i sat out front a dollar tree with no food water. This lady asked if i was homeless i said no but not far from it. Then she comes back with a back pack full of oddly specific note cards and items i need. Then i suddenly had the chills now almost 32 i believe their is a god. Without this back pack i feel i would not have been able to walk home thank you fir giving me faith godbless”
“Went for the fish fry dinner. Everyone was efficient, nice, and worked hard to get everyone through quickly. I thought my food was delicious. My husband said his was okay.”
“I've visited twice. My first time was Easter Sunday. I felt welcomed, and church was inviting and clean. Still relatively new. Not a big fan of crowds and a shy quiet guy, so this is an adjustment for me I have been rebaptized since 2018. I've missed a lot of church since covid. I didn't believe in wearing masks, and my last church had an ultimatum. I've been to a couple of churches since I haven't quite found what I'm looking for. I'm going to continue visiting this church a few more times and make my decision. With my crazy work hours, I usually have time every other weekend. I also don't want to be guilted into not being a good Christian for not going every week. However, I am seeking a permanent church home. So we shall see. So far impressed, to say the least.”
“let me tell y'all, everyone here is the nicest people you will EVER meet! Free food, tea, coffee, and prayers! Come here every Sunday! I hope that I see you!”
“Elevation is a great place to experience God and community. They make you feel welcomed. Pastor Daniel teaches from the word of God and is so down to earth. I'm so blessed and grateful to call Elevation my home!”
“Always a pleasure to attend & hear about the word through Pastor Brad. Also the music and songs are some of my favorites. Family friendly and welcoming congregation.”
“The staff are all awesome, and the parishioners welcome you when you attend, whether it be for service or one of the many activities that they have going. I loved attending the Tuesday Morning Life Group and the Young at Heart Group, but unfortunately, Covid stopped it from meeting. There are other groups that meet. I watch their service online currently because I am a full-time caregiver and can't get to church right now. I am also a prayer warrior, and you can ask for prayers, and they would be more than happy to say them for you. I would recommend this church!!”
“Beautiful Church, friendly people. Attended Christmas Eve service about 90% full, wonderful many Christmas carols. Our grandchildren attend the preschool there where they do a wonderful job..”
“A place where Jesus is preached and the Bible is taught. This church is involved in the community and is a church for EVERY member of the family to feel welcome in.Special needs inclusive with a sensory room and workers to love on your littles to single mom groups, amazing women’s ministry and generally a place you don’t ever have to feel alone.”
“Safe place to explore what the Lord has set before you. A place to start..a place to grow in the Knowledge of the Father, His only son Jesus,And the Holy Spirit who lives in us!!!Continue spreading the Good News!!!Jesus Lives!!!”
“I have stopped in to this particular Reading Room several times over the course of 25 years - and several times in just the past few months. Each attendant has been warm and welcoming - delighted to share information in an easy, non-proselytizing way and equally as delighted to learn about you.”
“I attended for a funeral and arrived during the casket viewing. The songstress was excellent, there was lots of handicap parking and the ushers were very professional.I'll return to hear the word”
“This church is the real deal! It’s a spirit-led, loving, friendly, Bible sharing church that feels more like family than anything. The pastors are all about real life and tell the truth of the Word of God in a relatable way. No one is left out, as new people are welcomed warmly- they genuinely want to know you! Ever since they switched to the 9:00 and 10:45 services, I can come well-rested and ready to praise God with modern praise songs. My small group here knows and loves each other and I look forward to it every week. You can wear casual or dressy clothing and no one is judging you; they’re just happy to praise God with you. It’s diverse and somehow so many different people get each other and love each other like Jesus. I have learned so much here, and the pastors are funny at times, while sharing what God says in the Bible. Do yourself a favor and come check it out.”
“I'm highly amused that St Gerard Majella's fish fry, which only happens once a year for like 5 weeks during Lent, has a Yelp site. But I'm also thankful that someone created one. I'm not a St. Louis native and don't understand all the hype surrounding fish fries. Well, now I know. I came here last Friday at 5:10pm (they opened their doors at 4:30), the first week of their fish fry, with the naïve thought that I was "early". I fully intended to use their order-online-and-pick-up-curbside but 30 minutes after they opened, their website shut down/broke and it said they weren't taking any more orders. I told my husband I would be home in 20 minutes. 1 HOUR LATER, I finally left with my carryout food and wondered if the food would be worth this crazy long drive-through wait. The church staff told me that the line would likely be shorter after 6:30pm...but when I left, the line of cars waiting on Dougherty Ferry Road was the same length as it was at 5:10pm. When you arrive in your car, you enter the drive through line from Dougherty Ferry Road, and exit on Ballas. Apparently people started lining up at 4:00pm. I asked if parking and walking in to do carry-out was faster, but the lines were apparently also long inside. They take cash and credit card. As you inch along the drive through, they also sell Ted Drewes ($3 each, about 1 cup size), drinks/beer, give you free tartar sauce or cocktail sauce, then give you a number to place on your dashboard so they can direct you into 2 lanes, then merge you into 1 lane, and then you order your food, pay, and pick up the food. I tried the fried cod adult dinner, which comes with 2 pieces of fried cod, hush puppies (or a roll), 2 sides, and a packaged cookie or brownie. The cole slaw was my favorite side--fresh, vinegar-y, and a nice contrast to the fried seafood. I also tried the fried shrimp, French fries, and mac and cheese. The fried cod was my favorite--nicely breaded, not overly greasy, well-seasoned, and nice and hot even after I took it home to eat. Hush puppies left something to be desired---the cornbread inside was dry and the exterior breading too hard/crunchy. But still, tasty. So my first fish fry experience was delicious, but I don't think I will be waiting an hour again in the drive thru line again just to get the fried fish.”
“We went to a community giveaway and we appreciated everything from housewares, clothing for the kiddos, books and Cathy prayed for our family giving us hope and much needed encouragement to reach out for help when in need, Everyone was so helpful and giving,We thank you an hope to see you in August!”
“Watched online during lockdown of covid and I love Father Joe Kempf. Feels like he speaks directly to me, and God speaks through him. He is so welcoming and understands grief and tries to apply all different kinds of people in his homilies- married, single, kids. Amazing speaker and I still watch his homilies online because I feel this connection with him. His videos helped me a lot when my mom passed away last year and he knows what to say to those who are grieving. Excellent pastor- we had him at Assumption in O'fallon and he would always wait til the end of the school day and hug and say goodbye to the dayschool kids. The kids love him. Has excellent books for adults and kids that he wrote.”
