Our October wedding held it's reception at the beautiful indoor/outdoor space at Mad Art. We had 140 guests in attendance and the space more than accommodated dining and dancing. Kelsey and Ron are awesome! They provided a personal, curated service from our first visit to view the space to our incredible tasting to some last minute decorating hours before the reception. This old jail has rustic and modern character, great art displays, and a staff that provides a royal treatment. Definitely consider Mad Art as an elite venue for your event hosting needs!

Went last week on my 51st birthday ? November 5th and everyone including the belly dancing performers and thr audience wished and sang happy birthday ? to me after the Hard Raks Cafe Brunch Sunday Edition and it was one of the best birthday ? events I attended. Mad Art Gallery is an amazing place and relive the memories of the old police station. Thank you so much!

What a cool venue...pop up restaurant and locate for musical performances situated in the gallery. Love how this was concerted from an old police station along with the jail cells outfitted with dinner table and chairs for restaurant goers.

If you live in or near STL and haven't eaten at Mad Mexico, you are seriously doing yourself an incredible disservice! The food was absolutely delish! Not to mention the aesthetics of the restaurant itself were simply just fun. An old police station turned restaurant with amazing (if not the best) tacos in the area! I had to try as much as I could... I ordered the Quesabirria, beef street taco, brisket street taco, strawberry churro, and chips & dip. Great portion sizes with plenty to take home. The only con I had was the seasoning on the chips - however, that's more of a personal preference than a fault of the restaurant. And just an added little bonus... the take home boxes are compostable! Slaaayyy. #SaveTheEarth I'll have to update this review after my next visit to include the art gallery.

The first time I was here was for a private event. And they floored me with how wonderful everything was. Now, they are now open from 4:00 to 10:00 Tuesday through Friday! Their food is out of the country, wonderful because the person in charge of making it is of Aztec and Sicilian descent.Their Birria steals the show. When it was described, there is a long process to create the spices into paste to ensure authentic quality. Not to mention the long roasting process to make the meat succulent and delicious. This doesn't even get me started on the environment itself! The gallery is spacious, and their catwalk is gorgeous. The outdoor patio is enclosed for privacy, and there is no sound that reaches besides the crackle of the fire and the people around you. The Nook of the Fairy Glen is a perfect touch right next to the stacks of wood. Having been a converted prison, the cells are real. Finally, the bathrooms are spacious, wonderfully decorated, and really add to the ambience.

Formerly a police station, now an art gallery space. They incorporated the jail cells into dining booths. There is also an outdoor patio connected by a garage style door that is all windows.

On April 16, 2023, we hosted a celebration of life for our dear friend, Fran Kenny. It was a huge success! We had a gathering of 80+ friends and family in attendance. The venue looked amazing and all the details were covered. From lighting to video/sound, fabulous artwork, to amazing food and craft cocktails, everything was perfect. The staff was super friendly throughout the 4 hour event! Ron and Kelsey were so great to work with while planning the party. Hats off to everyone at the Mad Art Gallery for making everything exceptional. It really added to the success of the celebration. We highly recommend this unique space for anyone looking for a cool space for a fun gathering.Thank you all,John Hecht and Steve Kotsines
