Exotic Wood Zone was founded in 2013 by Jockey Mohammed in St Louis. MO. Since 1980 Jockey worked alongside his father, Casper, owner of Bluemountain Exporters travelling the world in search of exotic woods for Musical Instrument customers like Takamine, Victorinox, Maderas Barber, West Penn Hardwoods, and Marton Guitars. Jockey started out working on the band saw for his father’s sawmill and was gradually trained to select the best ebony and rosewood guitar products under the supervision and guidance of other well-known experts in his field.
