“There are two Aldis in Saint Joseph, MO. One in the north end and a brand new one in the south end. The sound end used to be the best one of the two. This one used to be dirty, but they must be under new management or the manager decided to be a manager. It's clean now. Very nice people.”

Limited selection for many things, but the basics are covered, along with some good gluten-free options, and some somewhat less-familiar but intriguing imported items like Spekulatius, Appenzeller, Norwegian crispbreads, etc. Bring your own bags (or buy theirs) and bag your own items. And don't forget to bring a (refundable) quarter to use a shopping cart (which leaves the parking lot free of stray carts)!”

They offer things no one else in St Joe has.Only complaints - sometimes the clearance prices forget to be taken off and sales end on Saturday (instead of running through Sunday)... Like... No where else does that.”

“I went in search of Ancho and Guajillo peppers to make birria tacos at home. I was dissatisfied with the local grocery store options, so I went to the Estrella and was able to find everything I needed. There was a great variety of dried peppers, and the price was so much better than any local store. A bag of peppers were $4 at the Estrella, vs $12 at a different grocery store. The associate was helpful and answered any questions I had. Good experience, great options, great prices. Will return!”

“Lifeline Foods (Saint Joseph, MO)The actual entrance to the Shipping & Receiving entrance is on S 17th Street off of Garfield Avenue. Usually, most GPS devices will direct drivers to the main entrance part of the facility (which is on a different street and designated for smaller automobiles).In addition to that, the check-in guard shack allows drivers to stay within their respective diesel-trucks without exiting to check-in. I didn’t have any issues with the load#/check-in# that Uber Freight provided; so, there shouldn’t be any concern or problems checking-in (with the load information Uber provides via the mobile-application).Furthermore, there’s plenty of space for drivers to turn around and dock, in which the dock door area is very spacious.Also, there’s no physical bathrooms available for drivers or a driver lounge area/facility, but there is a Port-A-Potty available near the dock door area for drivers to utilize and the loaders are quick and straightforward (I was loaded in about 30-45 minutes).Lastly, the area in- and around- the facility is not spacious. So, there’s no overnight parking (from what I seen).PLEASE do not rely on the shipper’s weigh scale and PLEASE scale load at a nearby CAT Scale, because the loaded freight can be heavy.”

“Two months ago if asked about the Dollar general that I went in, I would have said I hated it!! I would have said the employees were very rude, lazy and store was cluttered ! Their delivery items that were brought in for the week for them to put on the shelves for customers to be able to purchase was in the aisles. I had to walk around them, you could hardly get through, it was a fire hazard in my opinion. However, I stopped in there yesterday, and I had to compliment them over and over again because they really cleaned up the store ! Everything's put away& there's no longer those big carts full of items out in the middle of the isles. It's just a much MUCH cleaner store now, Oh, and then they seem to have hired nicer less rude& lazy employees!!”
