What to do when a single mom pulls up for gas two minutes before closing time? The attendants see her out there, in the middle of nowhere, and shut the pumps off anyway as soon as her card goes to hit the reader. Then, they valiantly shake their heads no and laugh amongst each other in front of you at what they just did to you. No, the shut off time was not automatic. I valued this gas station, it WAS my favorite one to stop at. Not only will I never respect those white trash workers again, but I will adamantly speak out against anyone stopping at any of the three stores owned there. If you don't pay them enough to care about someone possibly getting stranded with their kids, and literally laugh at her, then you don't deserve to be in business.

Coming home from a road trip I kept seeing billboard signs enticing me to stop and see the greatest collection of candy and finally after the 15th sign I gave in . Kudos to advertising team , they leave nothing to the imagination, they inform you on everything you're missing out on if you don't stop to at least take a look . I'm so glad I did:) Parking lot ample and a gas station is also provided in case you need gas. Upon walking in you feel like a kid all over again. Plenty of people so get ready to maneuver and share space . They have a fudge counter, chocolate counter, popcorn, fountain drinks, old fashion soft drinks, goofy socks, taffy, old school barrels of candies , flavored popcorn etc. Restroom is one for the stars . Lights camera action as you walk in . Beautiful spacious and clean . Staff friendly and checkout was speedy. I will definitely be back .

One if the best places I've ever seen for old school candies I have seen in a while. So many to choose from depending on your sweet tooth. The variety of fudge is a must try! You also get a chance to sample them! Bring a toothbrush to prevent cavities!

Almost any kind of penny candy you could want, plus fudge! Can't miss the signs along the highway.

If you ever find yourself on I-44 somewhere between Springfield and St. Roberts, stop by Redmon's Candy Factory...I promise you won't regret it! I stopped there to get gas, but was pleasantly surprised at the selection of candy they have inside. I literally felt like a kid in a candy shop, so much candy to choose from. Bonus, their bathrooms were impeccably clean!

I stopped here on my way to Branson. You cannot miss this place. There are so many billboards along the route leading to the exit that the place is located off of. This is a candy store on steroids. They have just about every candy or treat that you can think of. They have taffy, fudge, brittle, gummies, jaw breakers, turtles, logs, flavored popcorn, chocolate covered nuts and much, much more. The staff there is friendly and helpful. This place is an unapologetic tourist trap and is co-located with a gas station and sits right in front of what they call the Worlds Largest Gift Store. There is ample parking and being a tourist trap...and a good on I may add, this place gets a lot of traffic. The place was chaos while I was there and my goal was to get in and get out. They do actually make fudge and other candy on site and you can view the actually factory part of the store through glass windows. In addition to finding every type of candy you can think of, I even saw some hard to find candy from my childhood, they have some toys/novelties and exotic/odd bottled drinks. Being that I have two kids that just brought in a huge haul of Halloween candy, I did not need or want any more candy in the house at the time. I opted to get some odd drinks. I got butter, corn, kettle corn and sour apple flavored soda pops. They were fresh out of the cooler and chilled. I really liked them. I knew that this was a tourist trap going in, so it was fine. Being a tourist trap, you will pay tourist prices. There are no dining options at this exit though, so if you are hungry, for food, you will have to add another stop. This is still a nice stop though and I recommend stopping here, if only for the experience.

Adorable candy and chocolate shop in the middle of nowhere at a gas station. They've got a great selection and their homemade milk chocolate is to die for. They have everything from chocolate covered Oreos, Twinkie's and marshmallows; to tons of varieties fudge, malt balls and all the nuts. There are barrels of old timey candy and countless sodas on the wall. Def a must stop.

they had sold me 2/4 bags of stale popcorn, I was extremely disappointed because my expectations were higher based on reviews and based off the expiration dates.

bought 4 bags of popcorn to take home to the kids and two were very stale. Most of their candy is shipped in and resold with other brand names. definitely not the world's largest candy factory.

This is one of my favorite places on earth! I have seen every candy on earth here! The staff is super friendly! The ambiance family oriented! I l love the breathtaking restrooms it always clean and so well designed, with the beautiful lighting in the ladies restrooms! Which begs the question of what does the men's look like? My favorite joy is the candy from my childhood and oldies but goodies. Like the bubble gum cigarettes, Mary Janes, Chico- Sticks, salt water taffy's, candy necklaces, and so much more. The part that will wow you the most is the side of the store that has nothing but several barrels of salt water taffy's! The phrase a kid in a candy store is so appropriate! The candy is never hard always fresh and well organized! This is stop I must make when traveling on Highway 44.

Saw Billboard for Free Chocolate samples And my husband asked me if I wanted to stop. Lol It's like he didn't even know me before. When you enter the smell of chocolate and sugar. Welcome as you period they had all kinds of candy from chocolate. To fudge and all kinds of old-fashioned candies. The free sample is just a little Teency fleck, Which was much smaller than I was expecting. But that didn't stop us From buying other Chocolates. I especially like the dark chocolate mint. They dont give free samples, even the tiny fleck of certain chocolates. The public bathrooms are particularly nice, so it's worth a stop just for that If you are traveling.

If you have to go to the bathroom within 30 mi of this place wait. They are always so clean and when you walk in you think it will be this tiny little bathroom but it looks like a Las Vegas casino bathroom. And super cleanEveryone is also really really nice and there is a fabulous selection of candies and snacks and popcorn and all kinds of crazy sodas.

The convenience store isn't open 24 hours and the candy factory opens hours later than the store. Disappointed I didn't get to get popcorn or even use the restroom for another 5 miles.

This sweet review may come in candy if you're traveling through. :) My secret sweet tooth was revealed with all the sugary snack options made available in this sweet stop along our way. There's so much to choose with a range from classic to creative snacks!! We tasted and bought from the fudge case, picked quite a few things from the candy case, selected a couple bags of popcorns, found some tubs of classic favorites, and even picked out four sodas to try out. We bought salty caramel, tiger butter, rocky road, and cheesecake caramel pecan, all good and listed in order of most liked first. The hyped chocolate covered Twinkie was worth a try but not outstanding, it was drier than I expected. The favorite candies were the oh so buttery yet crisp toffees and the creamy buckeyes. The s'mores were also worth trying but also a little dry. The bacon cheddar popcorn was not the best with a very imitation bacon flavor. The Memphis mix popcorn (PB & banana) was my favorite, comparable to a caramel popcorn with nuts but with the banana taste. The malted chocolate balls and chocolate covered raisins were fresh tasting and both tubs quickly enjoyed. The sodas were fun for my crew but I still haven't yet drank mine. The workers were so very helpful and pleasant in light of the extremely busy environment. They were helpful in providing tastings of different items. The lines of customers moved along quickly and it didn't take long to checkout. The store is brightly decorated, neatly stocked, well lit, has wide aisles, and there's some open viewing through glass walls of factory type settings. The very nice and clean restrooms they offer were also amazing for our long trip. Even though it was a very busy store I still found it was comfortable and was a fun worthwhile stop during our trip.

If billboards on the highway counting down the number of miles to something are your thing, then you'll absolutely get pulled in to Redmon's Candy Factory. They opened in 1995 and haven't looked back. Classic candies. Modern candies. Taffy. Chocolate dipped nuts and such. Kettle corn. Fudge. Yes, they have chocolate covered Twinkies, too. Coolers with a variety of hard-to-find soda flavors. I managed to escape with a bag of salty treats, a small tub of malt chocolates for my wife and two pecan turtles.
