I purchased a Black Rain AR and was pretty excited to where I'd probably buy some more in the future...unit I found the quality assurance wasn't up to par. The butt stock is really wobbly to the point that I will have to purchase another for a brand new gun. And the worst is going out to shoot it the second time and found it would only shoot 1 round at a time. So I pulled they bolt carrier group and found the gas key to be loose and not staked properly. So I will either have to send ot back and get it back in 6 months, buy a new carrier group from people that know what they are doing, or buy the staking tool. I've pretty fluent in ARs so I'll probably buy the tool and never buy from Black Rain again.

I love my bro spec15. I have buddies that have nothing but good to say about these precision rifles. All these negative reviews not even about the rifle. This Don Bauer dude needs a sling shot. ⬇️⬇️

If you haven’t been in since January of 2024 you should stop in. Ton of used guns on the floor now. Saw 3-4 that I hadn’t seen in a gun store in a long time. A old quackenbush and some AK mag Norinco SKS models. Ton of shotguns to but not my cup of tea. As always the service is great but I am sure they may employ 1 or 2 duds that snuck by.

I recently purchased a firearm and when it was shipped it was delivered to the wrong location. The store that the firearm was delivered to was the one who called me asking if I meant to have the delivery at a place that was so far from my location. Long story short I began calling BRO to have this resolved and that’s where all of my frustration with the company begins. I was the one who was making the calls to the the location of the purchase and destination of the purchase as well as several calls to BRO for assistance to only be given excuses and lies about what it was there were doing or telling me what was done . The manager of the department would not even talk to me in person, rather had the person answering the calls play the middle man giving me more excuses and lies. I have always wanted a BRO firearm and buying what is proudly marketed as an American made product makes me want to buy products for sure. I will say this, I will not purchase another item or firearm from BRO nor do I recommend anyone else to purchase as well.

I recently bought a Black Rain Ordnance AR-10 Fallout at Cabelas. First thought, I liked the battle worn FDE and I noticed interesting but appealing details to the upper and lower. I paid $2k and thought it was okay priced for the time (Covid) and the fact it’s an AR-10, not an AR-15. The main thing that appealed to me was the claim of it coming with a nickel boron coated bolt carrier group. After getting it home I realize it’s NOT nickel boron coated, but instead some cheap BCG with their logo laser stamped on it. I’m not sure if that was something from Cabelas or Black Rain but I took the “L” of getting tricked and decided to take it to the range. Before leaving the house I completely took it apart, cleaned and oiled the entire operating system, ensuring no packing grease was in areas that’d cause cycling issues. I’m prior service and disassembly and assembly of an AR platform is very familiar to me. I used regular brass cased FMJ target rounds. It lasted about 10 rounds of very slow rate of fire for zeroing an optic and then it failed. The BCG wouldn’t fully go into battery and for whatever reason it was a nightmare trying to eject the round using the charging handle. And I mean extremely difficult. Tried two more attempts with different rounds and had the same result. After taking it home from the range I checked the star chamber and lugs on the bolt and didn’t see anything out of the norm. I think the lugs on the bolt we getting hung up on the lugs of the barrel (star chamber) causing the issue, most likely the result of a cheap bolt carrier group. Gonna buy an Aero BCG and see if that fixes it.
I cannot speak on part of the customer service, as I didn’t waste my time. But in my opinion, if you are buying a suspected well built gun, you should have something that fires more than 10 rounds before having consistent failures. If you check their website and look at the BCG, they claim it comes with the better quality nickel boron coated one, mine 100% was not that. My fault for not paying more attention when buying it.
One last note, I have a custom built AR-10 that shot that same exact Winchester ammo with zero malfunctions or failures.
Update: I did get an Aero BCG and that did fix the issue. Shouldn’t have to buy a new BCG when buying a rifle, but lesson learned.

My first time ordering a firearm and not buying one in my local gun store! I was nervous at first but Black Rain Ordnance has absolutely won me over with how professional, friendly, informative, and responsive they are! I just want to say thank you B.R.O. And give a shoutout to Zach who has handled my order!

While this review has nothing to do with product or service I find it necessary to make comment on behalf of the many people who live near and around Black Rain on Iris Road, due to the constant daily sound of guns at their outdoor firing range. It is a total disrespect and diservice to the folks who have to live with this noise on a daily basis. Unfortunately there is no county ordinance to control the amount of noise from guns coming from this business. They can be heard within a 3 mile radius. For those of you who have to deal with the noise, your pain is being felt all the way over to Holly Rd and west. It's become impossible to enjoy the outdoors. If only there was something we could do to eliminate or at the very least, minimize the amount of gunshot noise; outside of moving away. It's a terrible shame that we have to live with this.
