I recently brought my Domane to Billy Goat Bicycle due to a slipping seat post. Dirk, the owner, quickly diagnosed the issue and efficiently handled the warranty work, installing a new seat post wedge with precision. Additionally, I had been hearing a noise from the bottom bracket, and Ben methodically investigated the problem. Instead of opting for a costly replacement, as suggested by two other shops, he discovered that the bracket simply needed tightening.
The passion for bikes at Billy Goat Bicycle is evident in every interaction. Dirk leads by example, and it's clear that his team shares the same dedication to ensuring cyclists can get back on the road safely and quickly. The entire experience was exceptional. I only wish I had made my initial big-ticket purchase from Billy Goat Bicycle, but moving forward, I will undoubtedly be turning to them for future investments.
Their expertise, honesty, and genuine care for their customers make them an invaluable resource for any cyclist.

Staff were very friendly and helpful in getting a bike that fits well. Additionally, they thoroughly checked every part of the bike ensuring it was in prime condition before sale.
Lastly they offered relatively decent discounts to products that have been om the floor for a while. Highly recommend this place

My wife and I live within 1 mile of 3 other bike shops and we live 15 minutes from Billy Goat. We make the drive every single time for whatever it is we need. Dirk and the crew at Billy Goat truly provide exceptional service to every customer.
There is a fundamental implicit understanding that for-profit businesses are attempting to make money. However, oftentimes it seems as though making money isn't something Billy Goat is too concerned with. They really do care more about providing quality service and expertise to their customers than they do about making money. Is it the most profitable model for them? Maybe not, but then again there's a reason we keep making the drive to Billy Goat over the other shops in the area. I don't know how a bike shop could provide any better service to their customer. An example: when I found myself in need of a whole new bike for an upcoming triathlon, Dirk simply offered me to borrow an extra bike they have in the back for the race for free. Rather than jumping on the opportunity to make a potential sale, he recognized that a regular customer was in need and chose to help me out. It's this kind of service--and the hours of knowledge and expertise he has given us over the past couple years about all things cycling--that make Billy Goat stand out in this industry.

Cannot say enough about this great cycle shop in St Louis! I was passing through on a rode trip with daily rides along the Mississippi River, and had a nagging issue with the derailleur......I was in a bit of a hurry and owner Dirk and his great technician solved the issue in minutes and made some other critical adjustments to get me on my way. The real treat was having a terrific chat with Dirk, who has owned the shop for 9 years, hello, way back in the early '80s, he and his buddies bought their very first bicycles at the shop that was in the same location at the time! And in the meantime, he has taken over as the president of the local cycling club in St. Louis, and he is the keeper of so many treasures of that incredible history of the bicycle club going back to 1887! He's got so many classic bikes, and bikes with a story in the shop, it's just such a pleasure to talk with a man who has genuine passion for cycling, and was willing to spend time with somebody who came in for a minor but critical repair. Speaks volumes about him and the shop he runs!

Stopped in just planning on looking but found a bicycle that caught my eye. I believe his name was Colin, was very helpful with getting the right size and answering any questions I had. It was finished being assembled exactly when he told it would be. Christian was very helpful with picking out a helmet and answering some questions about the bicycle. Great experience and would highly recommend them.
