Arguably the most impressive, massive and historically significant structure standing in Kansas City today. Incredible to think it sat in disrepair and was nearly demolished until a massive restoration brought it to life again. The holiday decorations; the gargantuan size of the rooms the high ceiling the amount of stone its quite overwhelming in a good way. Super cool place. If those walls could talk....

Very nice inside with great architecture. Union Station has an Amtrak link and a few restaurant and bar options. They have attractions inside like a Museum of illusions , theater, escape room, restaurants, Science City and more. It was clean and spacious though not much public seating unless you were eating at a restaurant. They also have a Rally’s shop where you can buy souvenirs. A self playing piano was also inside which was cool. When I went they were decorating for Christmas so parts of the station were closed off. At night a lot of things can be closed so check schedules. It can feel very eerie and empty around that time. But during the day it was lively. Overall a fun stop and it’s closed to the street car drop off and pick up and has a link bridge connecting it to the Westin.

Several month's ago I went too the Walt Disney event. Than yesterday I saw the Anniversary of Wizard of Oz. My hats off too Union Station for offering such outstanding events! I'm a 72 year old youngster and those events bought tears to my eyes and very fond memories to my heart. Everytime I walk into the Station I revert back to my childhood. I just wish schools would teach the history of this great building. Staff keep up the great work!! Your devoted fan.

Visiting the Historical Union Station in Kansas City was an unforgettable experience. The architecture is absolutely amazing, and the place is enormous. When I walked through the doors, I was in awe of the grand room's sheer size, the height of the ceiling, and the large chandeliers. I even found myself unintentionally blocking the entrance as I stopped in my tracks, captivated by the stunning view. There's so much to see inside, with history speaking to you at every turn, along with various shops and restaurants. I'm so glad I visited this place and can now cross it off my bucket list.

Visited Union Station a few times fmduring my stay in KC. It's incredible! Lots of stuff to do here including shops and many other experiences and the way they might it up at night is so cool. The Grand Hall is amazing. I got to see the Disney 100 Year Exhibit which was really cool to see the history of Walt Disney and Disney Studios, so many amazing movies made. You have an incredible view of the WWI Monument & have an incredible view of Union Station from the Monument, can't miss there. If you are in KC, Union Station is definitely a must see place, day AND night.

Union station is truly a one stop shop for entertainment, food, memorabilia and most of all creating fun memories whether on a date or spending time with your children and family. They even have a movie theater inside. I like that union station is consistent is facilitating themed events whether for the holidays of to support the chiefs.
Close proximity to other partnered entertaining facilities such as crown center mall, up the street the ferris wheel and other restaurants.

Let me start by saying I was looking forward to going here after I read reviews and recommendation articles, but it was a major let down for me. The building itself is very interesting and I enjoyed seeing the historical aspect of it. However, it was very difficult and confusing to navigate because the elevators take you to specific places and levels but it’s not easy to figure out which elevator takes you where. Aside from that, most of the free exhibits were closed and walking down the hallways and stairs felt really awkward and uncomfortable because they’re all mixed in with offices and conference rooms so it feels like you aren’t supposed to be there at all in a way. It wasn’t all bad but I definitely don’t think it’s all it’s cracked up to be. There are cool things to see and cute photo opportunities if you’re into that kind of thing.
I’d also like to mention the parking is very unnerving. You can pay $15 to park in the front lot they have or you can go down to the parking garage. If you park in the front, there are signs saying the kiosk to pay is located inside the building. This creates extreme confusion because the kiosk is actually located *outside* the doors to the left of the entrance. They have security guards outside shouting at everyone who enters that you have to pay for parking. It makes it feel really awkward to be chastised for trying to go inside to pay for parking, according to the signs, but you have to pay for parking outside and be scolded while you do it. I feel like they could solve this issue by either moving the kiosk to a central location before the entrance, or setting up QR codes on signs throughout the parking lot.
Anyways, all this to say, it was a huge let down for me and honestly kind of a waste of time.

More than a train station, it's a sort of eclectic mix of shops and tourist attractions, sort of like a pier without the water, fountains notwithstanding

A must visit place for visitors of Kansas City. This is a historic landmark train station that has been beautifully maintained and repurposed with attractive museums, special exhibitions, and eating places. The parking in front is a bit expensive at 15 dollars. If you are planning to stay for less than 4 hours it is advisable to park in the garage which is just 5 minutes walk from the entrance.
